What’s Up PlayStation Nation,
If you’re a fan of Atlus games there’s a been a lot of hearsay prior to today’s official new and it started by way of speculation via twitter user Nibel. Who recently stated that there were rumors of PS3 titles being looked into for future re-releasing.
From there the speculation grew as many hoped it would be either a remake of demon souls but that title was only published via Atlus for the U.S. release as it wouldn’t make sense for such an announcement to be made. Lo and behold after many twitter users speculated on the title.
We were given confirmation not even 24 hours later that Catherine: Full Body is in currently in development for PS4 and PS Vita users..(In Japan) But it’s safe to assume this will hit stateside. As of now there is no word on if this will release on other competitive platforms but the PS4 and PS Vita release is certain. But aside from the news of the release Atlus released a statement regarding the upcoming PS4/PS Vita remake.
The new version of the puzzle game will feature a bit of brand new content not found in the original release such as:
- A third Catherine.
- New cut scenes for the previous heroines
- New endings
- New events
- New gameplay mechanics
- A new mode
- Online battles
More will be revealed as the remake nears release however but this is definitely good news for those who are interested in the title.
(Editors Opinion: Back during the PS3 generation I only played the demo but I loved the music and presentation of the game. I was thoroughly interested but never got around to playing the final game as I was a bit wrapped up in others [Sleeping dogs, War For Cybertron and Borderlands 2 with friends at the time] However with this news of the upcoming release I am very interested and will most definitely purchase and maybe even attempt to platinum this. On the flip side however I am a bit disappointed that announcements like these weren’t made for events like this years PSX. It definitely shows an opening for a missed opportunity. Even if this game is set to appear on other platforms it’s announcements like these these reach the hardcore PlayStation gamer and establishes confirmation of why gamers choose the PlayStation brand.)
What do you think of this title being released for the PS4 and PS Vita? Are you interested in this game? Would you pick this up now if you missed out on the previous generation release? Comment below let us know. For news like this and more make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

We want to be as open as possible when it comes to sharing out our announcements or updates to everyone that participates within these tournaments.
One thing we would like to do is lessen the wait time for a lot of these upcoming tournaments. In order to do that, we created a general rules guide for all current and new participants for The Online Arcade.
The Online Arcade General Rules:
- Check ins are mandatory for participation in every TOA tournament. No Check in means no participation! (If you have issues checking in, lets us know!!!)
- Depending on the tournament all participants (new or old) must write their PSN ID, CFN ID, or Gamertag in the Discussion Tab.
- Read the description for each tournament before signing up/checking in.
- Key Factors are crucial for every tournament. If broken by a player, the penalty will be a game lost within a match towards that player.
- All participants must be ready for their matches when called upon(Invites). There will only be a 5 minute grace period. If the player is not there in the respected time, that is considered a loss.
- It is a requirement to have a active E-mail address, so you can get the proper notifications from the Challonge website.
- No Wi-Fi!! Must have a stable wired connection. (These are online tournaments)
- All TOA tournaments will be Double Elimination.
We created multiple social media pages to make things as easy as possible for all our participants and viewers. Being transparent as possible with our community is a goal we plan on executing here at The Online Arcade. These pages are solely dedicated to updating you on tournaments, news, and any questions you may have for us.
-Follow us on Twitter @TheOnlineArcade-Join The Online Arcade on Facebook-Connect with us on discord-Support The Online Arcade on Patreon-Subscribe to The Online Arcade on YouTube-Follow The Online Arcade on Twitch
One of our biggest moves is the transition over to Twitch. The channel is still a working progress but we plan on staying committed by having all of The Online Arcade tournaments will be streamed on twitch in 2018. Our goal is to achieve 75 to 100 followers by the end of the year, so we can try and claim a Twitch partnership. As the Twitch channel grows, we can provide more tournaments within the year and also have more giveaways for our supporters.
Here is a brief video on our progress:

We’re only a week away from one of the most sought after JRPG’s of this gen and last. What was once known as PS3’s exclusive Final Fantasy 13 Versus by way of Square-Enix. Has now evolved into not only a multi-platform game but also a mainline Final Fantasy title now known as: Final Fantasy XV. But of course you don’t need us here at What’s Up PlayStation to remind you. This upcoming adventure has been all over the media from YouTube, Television and more and even has plans to conquer mobile gaming. In preparation for it’s release Square-Enix has released an extended trailer which details characters, gameplay mechanics and more found in the living breathing world of FINAL FANTASY XV. Check out the trailer and screenshots below:
Square-Enix also followed through on what was said to be a tease from this previous Friday with information regarding a day one patch. The day one patch is named “Crown Update” and will include the following. It’s also mentioned that the list below is defined as “some” of the additions coming with the update, so there might be more.
- Improvements to the camera with new options to better assist and track the action in tight space and to improve visibility during battles
- New event scenes and scenes from KINGSGLAIVE: FINAL FANTASY XV™ and the “Omen” trailer have also been added to the game to make the story and timeline of events easier to follow for newcomers

What’s Up PlayStation Nation!
Today, Thatgamecompany, the studio that made Journey and Flower, tweeted two new images hinted towards their next game. So far we know the game has something to do with “Giving”.
Check out the images below:
I think PlayStation Experience is the perfect place to announce the game, since PSX usually has a very strong indie lineup, and Thatgamecompany is one of the best indie studios out there.

What’s up PlayStation Nation,
I recently wrote an opinion peace in regards to “PS4 Pro Support”. We’re heading into November soon and the PS4 Pro is set to release on November 10th. I’ve on many occasions stated my confusion on why the team over at PlayStation has been quite mum with advertising and even acknowledgement of the upcoming hardware outside of it’s initial September reveal. My guess as I’ve stated via “The Council Podcast” is that Sony has been rather slow this year with announcements such PSX 2016, PS4 Pro unveiling and even PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro bundles announcements. But none the less we are approaching the end of October and PlayStation seems to be possibly putting forth an effort to give the PS4 Pro a bit of exposure. As released via the UK PlayStation twitter recently, a trailer for the PS4 Pro has been released.
You can view the full trailer below via the Push Square YouTube Channel
What do you think of the trailer? Will it be enough to gauge the interest of others who may or may not be interested in the PS4 Pro or Call of Duty? Comment below let us know your thoughts and for more PlayStation related news make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.
What’s Up PlayStation Nation!
September 7th is the day everyone is expecting Sony to reveal PlayStation Neo. Sony has already started sending out invitations to the event, where Sony will discuss details about the PlayStation business. What people wasn’t expecting, is for Rockstar to be in the building. According to industry insider “Tidux” sources are telling him the game studio will be there. Tidux also knew about the PlayStation Meeting three weeks in advance, but he didn’t believe it himself.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has been rumored for quite sometime now. Which leaves us questioning, maybe it will be shown running on Neo? Keep in mind this to just a rumor, so take everything with a grain of salt!
