Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion Comrades Delayed

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Final Fantasy XV has spoken of how it’s planned to keep the marquee title alive and well beyond it’s single player DLC in the past and we’ve reported on the previous Multiplayer expansion details. This week it has been revealed in a press release via Final Fantasy XV’s Twitter that the multiplayer expansion was set to release at the end of this month on October 31st but since has been set to release a bit later. Here’s what they had to say below:

“Due to final adjustments and to create the best possible experience, the online expansion Final Fantasy XV: Comrades will now be released in early November,” Square Enix

Editors Opinion: The Multiplayer was fun as well as surprisingly expansive as it showed some promising offerings. The action was fluid as well. My only personal hope is that the FFXV community that’s left truly gives this shot. It was a fresh and fun experience with friends but based on my experience within the time frame of the beta match making did require a bit of work and I feel based on my experience from the beta that this will be heavily reliant on player engagement. So if this this does not gain the correct response from gamers who may not be used to this change in content from a mainline FF title, it may or may not thrive. Of course this is just an early assumption. I hope it does well based on the efforts taken however as it is a very fun experience. But with the late implementation and desire of other games it could be a bit of a tricky road to entice gamers who have since completed the game’s mainline story.

This comes as no surprise just about as the beta build we’ve previously play was in need of a few fixes. This is not necessarily bad news as it’s better to have to a delayed game than a broken game as “some” gamers these days feel. But at any rate fans who have been excited for this expansion will have to hold off a bit longer. But what do you think? Are you looking forward to the Multiplayer expansion? Are you or aren’t you interested in the online implementation of a mainline Final Fantasy game later having online elements? We’d love to hear your thoughts so leave your comments below. Editors Opinion: I must admit as a bit of a newcomer to the series myself I am bit taken by how much information there is available to intake for each character. But I am fully dedicated to putting in the time to learn these characters ( Especially, Cloud, Squall and Noctis ) I would also hope that more characters are in the pipeline from other Fantasy titles of the past but only time will tell.

What do you think of this information so far. Does this motivate you to learn more about the Dissidia Series? Are you interested at all now that this is a console first for the series? Star Ocean: The Last Hope Remastered US Release Date revealed

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

It has recently been revealed today via Square Enix, that the release date for Star Ocean: The Last Hope (AKA Star Ocean 4) will release in tandem with it’s Japanese date slated for November 28th. PS Plus users will be able to take advantage of a 10% discount making the game available for purchase at $20.99 USD but only for a limited time as this 10% off PS Plus deal is only available until December 12th. Also available now if you haven’t heard Star Ocean: Til the end of time. Is currently available in the PS Store as a PS2 classic for $20.99. So if you’re looking for your full fix of the Star Ocean experience PlayStation is where you need to be.

Editors Opinion: This is a great move as stated in one of our previous articles. I honestly speculated that this would be available for purchase in 2018. I’m happy to see that I was wrong very wrong. As I am looking forward to purchasing this game. As I haven’t finished a Star Ocean Game since PS2. Although I love the franchise the recent official PS4 iteration failed to keep me engaged. Although I enjoy the fighting system very much so. At any rate this is a great move and hopefully from the engagement and reception of these HD remakes it will push for Square Enix and Tri-Ace to move forward with a more immersive and satisfying story for the Star Ocean Series.

What do you think are you interested in this purchase now that it’s set to coincide with it’s Japanese release date? Are you excited or unphased by this announcement. Comment below let us know. For news like this and more make sure check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.
