Street Fighter V Urien Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Bright and early this morning Capcom released their latest trailer for the last of the 6 DLC characters announce for Street Fighter V. Urien will be coming to us within the September SFV updateCapcom previously announced last month. Urien was first introduced in Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact and quickly became a favorite character for many Street Fighter fans. Urien’s goal is to destroy Shadaloo and to take over the Illuminati from his older brother Gill, who he ultimately dislikes. Be prepared for many Metallic Sphere’s, Chariot Tackles, and yes the Aegis Reflector!

During the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom stated they will give the release date for Urien and also talk about the September’s SFV update.

So what does Urien have to offer in SFV:

V-Skill: Metallic Aura

Urien laughs maniacally while enveloping his body with his Metallic Aura. Once charged, his skin tone darkens and the next forward-propelling special move can temporarily absorb one attack.

V-Trigger: Aegis Reflector

Urien opens his arms and creates an energy barrier in front of him. The barrier will reflect projectiles back at the opponent and the direction held when activating the V-Trigger determines where it appears. Opponents who touch the barrier without blocking will take damage and be knocked back. With a full V-meter, Urien can project two barriers.

Critical Art: Dominate Crush

Urien channels energy into his arm and slams it into the ground, striking his opponent with a pillar of destruction.

Urien concludes the 6 DLC characters Capcom promised before releasing Street Fighter V. Putting the total of SFV characters to 22, but who will be the next 6 DLC characters Capcom will announce? Are you excited to play as Urien? Let us know in the comments below.

Street Fighter V August and September Updates

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

It seems like Capcom, is really trying to make amends for the mistakes and limited features during the launch of Street Fighter V. Before it’s launch, Capcom promised they wouldn’t treat this Street Fighter game like past installments. With their goal to make Street Fighter V as a serviceable fighting game. With only needing one disc for future characters and free patch updates for SFV. And it looks like they’re are holding up there end of the bargain.

Early this morning, Capcom gave details on the latest update for August. Starting tomorrow 8/16, there will be a pretty lengthy server maintenance. This server maintenance will be taking place during 1 p.m. PT to 7 p.m. PT (3 p.m EDT to 10 p.m EDT). This update looks to solve the raging quitting issues on SFV.

Here are the details on August’s update:

Rage Quitting Penalty

We are aware of the Rage Quitting issue, and this update will continue our efforts toward resolving it. We will make a second update to the existing Rage Quitting system with stricter guidelines for players who disconnect before the match is over. Players who are penalized will lose League Points and be locked out of online matching for a set time. The update will be implemented after the maintenance on 8/16.

Since the initial Rage Quitting system rollout, we have seen a rapid decrease in rage quitting players, and we believe that this new update will reduce that number even further. That being said, we’re still working on implementing a new, more robust system that will address the issue more completely by early next year.

As for September, they’re promising a huge update that will contain tons of new features. Such as having special events like double fight money. Giving the player the opportunity to earn double the Fight Money within ranked matches. As for season pass holder, there is a little bonus for you.

Here is a sneak preview of September’s update:

Double FM Event

Double Fight Money is happening! We appreciate your support for Street Fighter V, so we’re giving you the chance to double your FM earnings in Ranked Match! We will hold our first Double FM Event on the weekend of September 2-4th. Please stay tuned for more details!

Additional Features

The next September update will include:

  • VS CPU Option
  • Daily Targets
  • Daily challenges with Fight Money rewards!
  • Fighter Profile Updates!
  • Free colors for Season Pass holders
  • Colors 3-10 for Default and Battle costumes of the 6 DLC characters
  • Premium costumes will now include colors!
  • Colors 3-10 of the purchased premium costume
  • Color bundles available for purchase via FM or Real Money
  • All 22 Characters’ Default & Story Costumes Color Pack 3-10

And more to be announced!

Both updates are looking to resolve a lot of issues many Street Fighter fans are having with SFV. Good job on Capcom for listening to the community wants and needs.
