Check out the Free PlayStation Plus Games and Deals arriving in December 2017

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

With PSX and The Game Awards fast approaching, we have a lot to look forward to as far a preview of games we will soon be able to get our hands on in 2018! With that being said. It seems that PlayStation is looking to have something for everyone this December with the PlayStation Plus Free games of the month. So without further ado here’s what we’re able to get our hands on this December in the trailer below:

The Line Up details are as followed:

  • Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition (PS4)
  • Kung Fu Panda Showdown of Legendary Legends (PS4)
  • Syberia Collection PS3
  • Xblaze Lost: Memories, PS3
  • Forma.8, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Wanted Corp, PS Vita

Also as reported on the PS Blog Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is still available a free PSVR title!

As a reminder, we are giving PlayStation Plus members a bonus PlayStation VR game – Until Dawn: Rush of Blood. It’s available now through January 2 for PlayStation Plus members in U.S., Canada, and Latin America. This survival horror arcade shooter will be sure to give you a scare as you blast your way through hordes of enemies. Download it now (if you haven’t already) and buckle up for the most disturbing roller coaster ride you’ll ever take.

Monster Hunter: World is rapidly approaching its release, but you can get a taste of the hunt from December 9 to December 12 exclusively as a PlayStation Plus member. In this beta, you’ll be tasked with hunting a Great Jagras and an Anjanath in the Ancient Forest, as well as a Barroth in the Wildspire Waste. While these are your main quest targets, be on the lookout for other deadly monsters roaming each ecosystem.

Lastly, for a limited time, PlayStation Plus members can grab the Smite PlayStation Plus Pack for free! The bundle includes 31 Skins, 20 Gods and Voice Packs, plus the Khepri Announcer Pack. The bundle is available from December 12 to January 9.

(Editors Opinion: I’m pretty satisfised with Darksiders 2 it’s said to be a good game although I’ve purchased this title prior to it’s PS Plus offering it’s definitely been a game on my “To do” list in regards to game experiences. However with the likes of Kung Fu Panda I personally can’t see myself playing this title unless it has an easy platinum to receive to add to my platinum trophy hunting when i can’t figure out what I want to play. The PS3 on the other hand has a pretty solid line up as I’ve long wanted to play the Xblaze series but never got around to playing them on PS3 during my time of being primarily on the system. The PS Vita titles are somewhat interesting. I’m not too personally excited for the Forma.8 title but wanted corp which is a PS3 and PC title is somewhat of a good drop for passing the time by on the go for a top down shooter.)

But enough of my thoughts what do you think of this month’s PS Plus free game selection? Do you think last months offering a better or worse. Comment below and let us know. For news like this and more keep us bookmarked and check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

And most of all capcom cup will be a blast but we’ll save that for another day. At anyway PSX 2017 is an event you don’t want to miss out on as a PlayStation Fan!)

Deals: No PS Plus required for this week.

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

With Black Friday Soon approaching PlayStation is attempting to make the offer to ease your way into the PlayStation community very smooth. That is if you haven’t already. Starting 11/15 into 11/20 the week of black Friday. So far PlayStation has offered free weekend of not only some of the most noteworthy 3rd party titles but also of free Multiplayer access overall. This weeks promotion won’t require any special codes or offers you’ll need to enter. All that’s needed is your PS4 to be powered on and head to your Multiplayer game of choice. This promotional event will last until November 20. Of course there is a catch at the end of this free multiplayer access trial you will be more than likely asked to purchase a PS Plus Subscription of some sorts. However it always your choice of, whether or not you want to purchase a subscription or not. But if that doesn’t help make up your mind we’ve previously reported the games of the month available for PS Plus users. Which you can view via the trailer below.

Novembers Plus Free Games Lineup.

Will you be participating in this week’s free PS Plus offering? What games are you going to play? Comment below let us know. For news like this and more make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

Check out the Free PlayStation Plus Games and Deals arriving in November 2017

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

It’s about that time of the month, Where we are either excited or disappointed with the PS Plus games selection! In the month of November which is mostly known for titles such as Call of Duty and Black Friday Deals. We can usually expect one or the other to excite us either the PS Plus games or the Black Friday deals to follow. With that being said here’s a roll of the dice and a run down of Novembers upcoming freebie selection:

This month’s PlayStation Plus lineup includes:

  • Worms Battleground
  • Until Dawn Rush of Blood (Bonus PSVR title)
  • Bound
  • R-Type Dimensions, PS3
  • Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic, PS3
  • Dungeon Punks, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
  • Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse (Episodes 1 & 2), PS Vita

Lastly, we have hundreds of games on sale right now at PlayStation Store — and PS Plus members get double the discount. The three we are most excited for are Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix (20%; 40% off for PS Plus members), Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (15%; 30% off for PS Plus members), and Horizon Zero Dawn (22%; 44% off for PS Plus members). Stock up on some new games for the holidays, but grab ’em before the sale ends on November 7 at 8AM Pacific

Here’s a little info about the upcoming games:

Bound: This platformer transports you into a beautiful, fantastical world that exists in the mind of a woman revisiting the memories of her childhood. Bound combines a unique visual style with a powerful story and gameplay mechanics infused with modern dance. As the game progresses, the introspective story unfolds through powerful metaphor and imagery.

Worms Battlegrounds: This title brings friends and family together in the noble pursuit of mayhem! Join multiplayer matches where each turn is full of questionable decisions, high-powered weaponry, and exploding sheep.

That’s just a minor rundown of the games for November 2017.

(Editors Opinion: Welp as far as my taste are concerned this isn’t really my ideal selection to take wind out of the competition of the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One X release. However I feel that with the games like Call of Duty WWII and Star Wars: Battlefront II being at the forefront for PlayStation 4, alongside Horizon Zero Dawn: Frozen Wilds DLC arriving this month. It softens the blow of disappointment. However in regards to my personal taste this doesn’t relate to my gaming tastes. However I free games are free and with my extensive backlog of games this is gives me more reason to continue to chug away at my forever extensive backlog. But that’s just my perspective.)

But enough of my thoughts what do you think of this month’s PS Plus free game selection? Do you think last months offering a better or worse. Comment below and let us know. For news like this and more keep us bookmarked and check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope Remastered US Release Date revealed

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

It has recently been revealed today via Square Enix, that the release date for Star Ocean: The Last Hope (AKA Star Ocean 4) will release in tandem with it’s Japanese date slated for November 28th. PS Plus users will be able to take advantage of a 10% discount making the game available for purchase at $20.99 USD but only for a limited time as this 10% off PS Plus deal is only available until December 12th. Also available now if you haven’t heard Star Ocean: Til the end of time. Is currently available in the PS Store as a PS2 classic for $20.99. So if you’re looking for your full fix of the Star Ocean experience PlayStation is where you need to be.

Editors Opinion: This is a great move as stated in one of our previous articles. I honestly speculated that this would be available for purchase in 2018. I’m happy to see that I was wrong very wrong. As I am looking forward to purchasing this game. As I haven’t finished a Star Ocean Game since PS2. Although I love the franchise the recent official PS4 iteration failed to keep me engaged. Although I enjoy the fighting system very much so. At any rate this is a great move and hopefully from the engagement and reception of these HD remakes it will push for Square Enix and Tri-Ace to move forward with a more immersive and satisfying story for the Star Ocean Series.

What do you think are you interested in this purchase now that it’s set to coincide with it’s Japanese release date? Are you excited or unphased by this announcement. Comment below let us know. For news like this and more make sure check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

2D Hack and Slash Indie title ICEY releases tomorrow

What’s up PlayStation Nation,

If you’re big on the trophy hunting scene this title known as _ICEY_ may more than likely be a familiar name you’ve heard in regards to being a quick and easy platinum trophy run. But to those who may not be as involved in such matters may not have ever heard of this game before at all. However that will hopefully change as of tomorrow. Chinese developer Mark Xiao took to the PS Blog, to reveal that his long awaited title _ICEY_ would be coming state side to North America and to the EU via the respective regions PS Stores. Here’s what he had to say below:

About Icey

It’s up to you, really. Do you prefer to see through Icey’s eyes and act as she would? Or do you prefer to remain “yourself” and see the world through your own eyes? Only you can decide what the real story is.

Hack and Slash

There are plenty of combo attacks to tie together during battle in Icey.

Once enemies are sufficiently weakened, you’ll be able to dispatch them quickly in a flurry of slashes.

Absorb energy released from kill shots to then release a massive attack which damages all enemies within view.

Combine all of these together to build up devastating combos.

Resist the Narrator and Find Your Own Path

It’s possible to play Icey as a simple action game, but if you want to discover the real story behind Icey you need to realize that the narrator can be directly disobeyed.

For example, the narrator will tell you to activate a bridge.

Of course, you don’t have to listen.

Resist these instructions enough times, and the narrator will prevent your progress and even teach you how to play the game.

Resist further, and the narrator will create a “temporary” zone for you.

And, of course, try to force you to finally follow the arrow.

Feel free to once again disobey these commands.

Only by annoying the narrator throughout Icey will players be able to uncover some semblance of the truth about the game world.

Also make sure to check out the trailer below:

Icey is definitely an experience worth a look and could prove to be a ton of fun for those who are into hack and slash titles. But don’t take our word for check it out for yourselves. With that being said let us know what do you think. Are you interested in the title? Have you heard of this game prior to today? Comment below let us know.
