PlayStation Collectible Card Will make an Appearance once again at PlayStation Experience 2017

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

If you know anything as far as this gen is that PlayStation has been particularly smart when it comes to showing it’s hand (no pun intended) when it comes to information and events, at least this gen. Well die hard fans of PlayStation related memorabilia can rest assured as it has been revealed today via the PlayStation Blog that there will be collectible cards once again. For those of you who may not have had the chance of attending PSX these cards are used not only as collectibles but task in order order to gain access to certain events, prizes and other sorts, even demo access. This year’s PSX plans to keep that same element alive as it has just been revealed that these collectible cards will available at this years PlayStation Experience in Anaheim, CA. As reported via the PS Blog here’s a look of some of the cards you can look forward to collecting below:

Cards

Capture

Attendees will also get the chance to earn PlayStation Trophy Cards by completing certain quests at the event — find out how via the Experience PlayStation app once the show starts.

Your Bronze Trophy card is already “in the bag” (meaning you’ll get one just for attending — it’ll literally be in your gift bag). You may be asking, “How can I get the rest of the cards?” The answer is simple (sorta). They’ll be located at certain locations and booths on the show floor, and you might even need to play a demo to earn some of them. Which locations/booths/demos? Well, you’ll need to figure that out on your own.

Editors Opinion: Although fun for a bit the reality is that some of the quest and demo kiosk that you may have have to attend in order to retrieve some of these collectibles will be daunting and a serious task. Take it from experience (3 time attendee) these lines depending on the popularity of the game can be a bit or very discouraging. Which my suggestion would be if you are not attending alone to the PSX your best bet would be to split up into teams and try to endure the long waiting for your collectible cards, or gaming goodies in a bit of a strategic fashion. That’s just one tip of many on how to retrieve these collectible cards.

What do you think? Are you fond of these PlayStation Collectible cards? Will you be attending PSX this year? What games are you looking forward to seeing and or hearing about? Do you have any excitement at all for PSX? Don’t forget that PSX 2017 will be December 9th-10th at Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA which PlayStation Experience 2017 tickets are available now. Comment below and let us know. Editors Opinion: I must admit as a bit of a newcomer to the series myself I am bit taken by how much information there is available to intake for each character. But I am fully dedicated to putting in the time to learn these characters ( Especially, Cloud, Squall and Noctis ) I would also hope that more characters are in the pipeline from other Fantasy titles of the past but only time will tell.

What do you think of this information so far. Does this motivate you to learn more about the Dissidia Series? Are you interested at all now that this is a console first for the series? PS4 Firmware 5.0. Details Leaked

What’s up PlayStation Nation,

As many of us know there per the last few years the PS4 has been keeping consistent with it’s firmware update beta’s. PS4 is continuing that trend with some detail’s being leaked. Although this is a leak and details could by all means not be final. Here’s a bit of info of what’s to be apart of the upcoming update as reported via EuroGamer:

Here’s the summary of what’s new:

  • PlayStation 4 Pro owners can stream via Twitch in 1080p at 60 frames per second.
  • The system’s master and sub account systems has been overhauled. New family accounts an feature multiple adult accounts in a single family, able to act in a parent / guardian role and set parental controls on a per-account basis, allowing each sub account different communications, content-viewing, and spending limit privileges. Request can also be sent to adult accounts on other PlayStation 4’s to join the same family.
  • Players can follow any user.
  • Notifications have been added to the Quick Menu. Uploads and downloads status can also be checked here.
  • Push notifications for events.
  • Spectator comments on screen while broadcasting in virtual reality mode.
  • Broadcasts can be linked to a PlayStation Community.
  • Language support for Czech, Thai, Greek, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Romanian and Hungarian.
  • Behind-the-scenes support for bundle and compilation discs, with or without add-ons, and discs which support games and add-ons (such as a “Game of the Year Edition”), which do not require developers rework any code.

Opinion: Although these are great ideas and features to be added. These details leave much to be desired for this to be an entire update to the big 5.0 firmware update. However it should be taken into account this is leak which isn’t an official release and may not (hopefully) include all the details for the upcoming firmware beta or even the official release of the official firmware update itself.

But what you do think? What would you like to see for this upcoming update? What features are you still waiting for? Comment below let us know and for more news and all things PlayStation make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

New Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Updates Ahead March 17th

What’s up PlayStation Nation.

The Uncharted 4 Multiplayer community is alive and well! With that being said it’s only slated to get better and better. Today via the PlayStation Blog it was announced that a new game mode, vanity items and guns would be added via the multiplayer, to name a few. In regards to major and noticeable changes. These changes are set to hit this weekend which entail the following:

First up, we’re introducing a new permanent game mode: King of the Hill. It tasks two teams with fighting for control of rotating capture points in order to reach the score limit. King of the Hill requires careful coordination and skilled use of Multiplayer’s core combat and movement systems.

However, even if victory seems assured, King of the Hill offers a unique twist — after the score limit has been reached, the losing team has one last chance to make a comeback through what we call the Victory Hill. The leading team must capture the Victory Hill to win, but if the losing team takes it, they get a second chance at glory.

Alongside King of the Hill, we’re also introducing an array of new vanity items and three new weapons: the INSAS and Type-95 long guns, as well as a scoped Competition Pistol.

Fans of The Last of Us may recognize our new Savage Starlight character skins. Inspired by the in-game comics strewn across the world of The Last of Us, you can now customize select characters in Uncharted 4 Multiplayer with Savage Starlight outfits.

Uncharted players are you ready to jump back among thieves and fight it out? What are you looking for as far as big MP changes? What changes would you like to see implemented for the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer? Comment below let us know and for more news check back with us here at Whats Up PlayStation.

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

wp-1477584957070.png

It would be safe to assume that we can expect this title to finally grace our consoles this coming holiday (Nov, 29th). Alongside this news it has also been reported that the Season Pass DLC for Final Fantasy XV will include 3 episodes of new content. Which will include multiplayer of up 4 players online. As reported via the Square-Enix press release here are the full details below:

“The main focus of the Season Pass is three original episodes that take place during the events of FINAL FANTASY XV. Each episode allows players to take control of one of Noctis’ comrades in all-new adventures that offer unique play styles tailored to each character. Players can explore previously unseen areas filled with new monsters, and even obtain weapons that can later be used in the main game. Episode Gladiolus is the first new character adventure to arrive, and will be followed by Episode Ignis and Episode Prompto. Each episode will be available for purchase individually.

Following the release of the character episodes, Comrades—an expansion pack for FINAL FANTASY XV—will introduce a brand-new online co-op mode for up to four players which features intense battles allowing players to take full control of Noctis, Gladio, Prompto and Ignis as a group. Comrades will be available for separate purchase, and is also included in the Season Pass.

This additional content and character episodes are managed by Haruyoshi Sawatari (Producer, Business Division 2) and overseen by FINAL FANTASY XV Director Hajime Tabata with development led by core members of the FINAL FANTASY XV team.”
