PS4 Firmware 5.0. Details Leaked

What’s up PlayStation Nation,

As many of us know there per the last few years the PS4 has been keeping consistent with it’s firmware update beta’s. PS4 is continuing that trend with some detail’s being leaked. Although this is a leak and details could by all means not be final. Here’s a bit of info of what’s to be apart of the upcoming update as reported via EuroGamer:

Here’s the summary of what’s new:

  • PlayStation 4 Pro owners can stream via Twitch in 1080p at 60 frames per second.
  • The system’s master and sub account systems has been overhauled. New family accounts an feature multiple adult accounts in a single family, able to act in a parent / guardian role and set parental controls on a per-account basis, allowing each sub account different communications, content-viewing, and spending limit privileges. Request can also be sent to adult accounts on other PlayStation 4’s to join the same family.
  • Players can follow any user.
  • Notifications have been added to the Quick Menu. Uploads and downloads status can also be checked here.
  • Push notifications for events.
  • Spectator comments on screen while broadcasting in virtual reality mode.
  • Broadcasts can be linked to a PlayStation Community.
  • Language support for Czech, Thai, Greek, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Romanian and Hungarian.
  • Behind-the-scenes support for bundle and compilation discs, with or without add-ons, and discs which support games and add-ons (such as a “Game of the Year Edition”), which do not require developers rework any code.

Opinion: Although these are great ideas and features to be added. These details leave much to be desired for this to be an entire update to the big 5.0 firmware update. However it should be taken into account this is leak which isn’t an official release and may not (hopefully) include all the details for the upcoming firmware beta or even the official release of the official firmware update itself.

But what you do think? What would you like to see for this upcoming update? What features are you still waiting for? Comment below let us know and for more news and all things PlayStation make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

Call of Duty WWIIThere will be five divisions which will be included in the Call of Duty:WWII beta, here’s an overview of each division from the PlayStation Blog:

Armored Division:
This Division specializes in laying down a withering offense to buy their team breathing room. Their bipod-equipped light machinegun shreds lightly armored targets, while their armor protects them from enemy explosives, tactical equipment and flamethrowers. When extra punch is required, the Anti-Tank Grenade sticky bomb is the ideal choice.

Division Skill:

Mountain Division
Remaining undetected, this Division excels at covert operations and stealth gameplay. When armed with sniper rifles, the Mountain Division prefers to stay at a distance, waiting patiently for the perfect shot. If detected, smoke grenades and the S-Mine 44 “Bouncing Betty” provide opportunities to escape or retaliate.

Division Training

Dragon Ball FighterZ Closed Beta Delayed Until September

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Bandai Namco announced that the closed beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ has been delayed officially beginning September 16th-18th. The closed beta sign-up date has also been moved, with the new date to August 22nd, instead of the original July 26th date. Dragon Ball FighterZ is expected to released on the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One in early 2018.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. would like to thank all its fans for their tremendous support for DRAGON BALL FighterZ. We recently announced at EVO 2017 that the closed beta sign-ups for DRAGON BALL FighterZ would begin on July 26, 2017; due to the volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement, we have decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta in an effort to enable more players to participate in the program.

We are also working to bolster our background systems to ensure that the closed beta registration and selection process can accept the volume of anticipated sign-ups.

However, these efforts will necessitate a slight delay for the closed beta sign-up date, which will move to August 22, 2017 with the official start of the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta officially commencing from September 16 -18. We would like to thank all of our fans for their patience and understanding; we look forward to sharing more news about the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta program soon. Thank you.

The close beta will have nine playable characters, with newly introduced Piccolo, and Krillin joining Goku, Vegeta, Teen Gohan, Majin Buu, Freeza, Cell, and Trunks.

Piccolo’s character explanation: Piccolo is considered to be one of the most technical characters with his expandable arm to grab his opponents. He has various ways to break the opponent’s guard and he can also fire fast and powerful beams. Players can charge up for a stronger attack by long-pressing the button. To create a huge blow, Piccolo can use his ability to release Ki blast from afar or for an effective strike, players can even connect it with a combo move!

Krillin character explanation: Krillin doesn’t have that much reach and power but easily compensates with several different techniques such as the Kamehameha to fight a long-range game. He can also skillfully confuse his opponents by leaving an image of himself before turning into an attack. Furthermore, players have the choice to use the famous Senzu Bean. Fans will also be delighted to know that his signature and blockable attack is also included in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Blazblue Cross Tag Battle Teaser Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Arc System Works is at it again dropping new fighting game for fighting game enthusiast. During EVO 2017 they announced BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. It’s a cross-over 2D fighting game that will arrive on console in 2018. It will feature characters from illustrious Arc System Works fighting game franchise like BlazBlue, Under Night in-Birth, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and newly joining the fighting game scene RWBY.

Ragna The Blood Egde:
blazblueYu Narukami:persona 4 arenaHyde Kido:Under Night in BirthRuby Rose:RWBYIn my opinion: Just giving me a game where I can battle with some of my favorite fighting game characters from Arc System Works, is a huge win for me personally. I can’t wait to mix it up with some of my favorite Under Birth in-Night and BlazBlue characters. Just please have Byakuya in this game! I do personally feel this game will be a console exclusive on PS4 and will also have a PC release later within 2018.

Street Fighter V: Abigail Reveal Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

During EVO 2017 at Street Fighter V top 8, Capcom finally revealed their next SFV season 2 DLC character. Abigail is the biggest man in Metro City will be available on July 25th and has bulked up since his Final Fight days. Abigail is eight feet tall, making him the largest character in SFV.  He isn’t just a command grab character as most would probably assume. He brings with him plenty of tools and a special called Nitro Charge run. Which is cancel-able and can lead into multiple follow-ups like his stiff punch, cumbersome overhead, command grabs or V-Skill. abigail sfv

What does Abigail have to offer in Street Fighter V?

V-Skill: HungabeeV-SkillAbigail thrusts his size-able belly forwards (either high or low) countering the opponent’s attack and setting himself up for a combo opportunity.

V-Trigger: Max PowerV-TriggerAfter popping his two-bar V-Trigger, Abigail can charge up his four different heavy punches for one hit of armor and extended juggles. A full charge will break the opponent’s guard.

Critical Art: Abigail SpecialCAAbigail slams his opponent with a downward open-palm strike that puts them into a daze. He then hoists them into the air, pummels them like a makeshift speed bag before launching a savage hook that shatters the screen.

Abigail’s Movelist:Abigail MovelistAbigail Movelist 2abigail Movelist 3

costume2costume1On July 25th alongside Abigail are his Story and Premium Battle costumes. He will come with his own personal stage, the Metro City Bay Area. If you take your fight to the distance on his stage, fans will get to witness the iconic sunrise from back in Abigail’s Final Fight days.metrocity

Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will currently give you access to Akuma, Kolin, Ed and Abigail with two more brand new characters later within the year. The season pass also comes with Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 and the default costume colors 3-10 for each character in SFV.Season passIn my Opinion: Abigail is definitely looking a like force not to be messed with. Though his size could be a gift and curse, making him susceptible to a lot attacks from all angles due to his large hit box. Or creating fear against the opposition with his large body and length for his normal’s and specials. I’m personally interested on getting my hands on Abigail. He’s not the type of character I would typically use in a Street Fighter game, but I just so see what type of mix-ups I can create after his Nitro Charge Run special.
