I know for me personally this was of the star ocean games that took me a bit of a while to progress in but the grind was worthwhile. Star Ocean is one of my most adored franchised that I was introduced to in my early PlayStation days. (Thanks my best friend John S. for that)

With that being said what do you think of this news are you interested in playing this Star Ocean Title? Have you play any of the other star ocean games or will this be your first Star Ocean game. Sony reveals new PSVR model to release soon with slight changes ahead

What’s up PlayStation Nation,

If you’re still on the fence about VR Sony has made a few changes that could possibly change your mind and maybe place the peripheral up your buyers list. Per the PlayStation blog the new updated PSVR FAQ post detailed the changes ahead:

Is there a new PlayStation VR model? How is it different?

A hardware update to PlayStation VR is being prepared. The new version, model number CUH-ZVR2, features an updated design that enables the stereo headphone cables to be integrated with the VR headset and a slimmer, streamlined connection cable. There’s also an updated Processor Unit that supports HDR pass through, enabling users to enjoy HDR-compatible PS4 content on a TV without having to disconnect the Processor Unit in between the TV and the PS4 system. This function can be used only when the VR headset is turned off.

When will the new PS VR model become available in North America? How much will it be?

We will share details on the launch timing in North America at a later date. The pricing of the PS VR bundles will remain the same.

How can I distinguish between the old PS VR headset and the new one when I’m purchasing?

The packaging for PlayStation VR will change slightly when the new model hits stores. To differentiate, look for the model number printed on the box. The previous PS VR’s model number is CUH-ZVR1, and the new PS VR’s model number is CUH-ZVR2. Also, the product image on the packaging will be updated to show changes on the new model, like the integrated headphones on the VR headset.

If I already own a PS VR, can I swap out my old Processor Unit with the updated one?

Because the cables of CUH-ZVR1 and CUH-ZVR2 are different, you cannot swap the Processor Units.

Are the PS VR games I already own compatible with the new model?

Yes, all PS VR games are compatible with both PS VR models.

Editors opinion: “Me personally this makes me more eager to purchase a PSVR after now acquiring a 4K HDR television ( Which I am currently an 1 week old owner of such). I initially planned on purchasing a PSVR by 2018 anyway so this is actually perfect. At any rate I feel this creates an incentive to purchase a PSVR even more now.

How do you feel about this news? Does this create even more or less of a reason to buy. Current owners of the new PSVR model what are your thoughts? Comment below and let us know. For news like this and more make sure to check with us here at Whats Up PlayStation.

Since that faithful day the wheels of anticipation have been turning and left many gamers salivating for more dino machine goodness. With today’s announcement it’s safe to assume there’s only one direction to go for the Horizon franchise and that my friend is up! Here’s what guerilla games has recently reported via their blog:

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) today announced global sales of Horizon Zero Dawn exceeded 2.6 million units during its two weeks of launch*1. The PlayStation®4 (PS4™) system exclusive, developed by Guerrilla, was released globally beginning February 28 to widespread critical acclaim. Praised for its unique world design, wide array of strategic action and fascinating story line, it instantly became one of the most celebrated games of the current generation.  The impressive launch also makes Horizon Zero Dawn the best-selling new first party IP launch on the PS4 system to date and Guerrilla’s biggest debut ever.

This is definitely a good thing for developers and gamers. Hopefully with titles like these we can continue to see creative boundaries being pushed into a fresh direction for future games to come. Here’s what some of Sony’s top heads have have to say:

We knew Horizon Zero Dawn was going to be something special, so to see the incredible critical reaction to a brand new game world translate into this level of sales is really gratifying,” said Shawn Layden, Chairman of SIE Worldwide Studios. “Guerrilla has created a game that is nothing short of exceptional, and the reaction we have seen from fans – from hours and hours of gameplay streaming to endless photo sharing – shows just how impactful it has been.

Herman Hulst also chimed in as well.

We’re thrilled that Horizon Zero Dawn has been embraced by critics and players alike. Developing the game was a labor of love, so it’s extremely satisfying to see that it elicits the same passion and enthusiasm from the gaming public that we felt during its development,” said Guerrilla Managing Director Hermen Hulst. “This is only the beginning of Aloy’s story and our exploration of the world of Horizon Zero Dawn, with the team already hard at work on an expansion to the story.

It’s no secret that this game has done exceptionally well for a new IP no less. This could be a sign that we will more Aloy in the future. With that being said, are you enjoying Horizon Zero Dawn? Platinum is compatible with PlayStation VR and mobile devices using the included 3.5mm audio cable.

PlayStation Communities are places where you can find players who have similar interests and preferences. Within a Community, you can join parties and launch into games with other Community members, or talk about your shared interests. You can also discover and join new communities directly from the app, which provides recommendations based on the games you’ve played and highlights which communities are trending. This new app has a streamlined design which makes it easy to post text and images on the community wall. You can also choose to receive push notifications to stay-up-to-date on posts and replies.
