Megaman 11 announced for PS4 in 2018

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Capcom just released a myriad of information today. Not only were we informed of the details for this weekends Capcom Cup  at PSX. But also we’ve just been informed of Mega Man 11 coming for PS4 and other consoles. In 2018.   You can check out the trailer and details below:

There are few iconic video game heroes with a legacy as legendary as Mega Man’s. It’s been 30 years since the original 8-bit classic first released and made its mark on the side-scrolling action genre, influencing games for years to come, and even still today. As a new entry to the classic series created by a talented, veteran development team at Capcom, the tight side-scrolling action-platformer gameplay fans have come to expect makes a return while completely revolutionizing the game on PS4. Get ready to jump and shoot your way through uniquely designed stages in any order you choose before tackling all-new bosses and claiming their weapons as your own!

The core gameplay that Mega Man fans expect is met with an all-new visual direction with the introduction of a 2.5D style featuring 3D character models and beautifully hand-drawn environments that mark a huge leap forward for the series. Its Mega Man like you’ve never seen him before, complete with a new look that retains his instantly recognizable style while giving him a fresh, modern design.

Mega Man 11

Looks like Mega Man is taking more than fashion cues from his enemies, too. It’s well-known that our hero changes colors when he switches to different weapons obtained from defeated Robot Master bosses, but take a close look at the trailer. In Mega Man 11, you’ll see he now takes on characteristics of bosses he’s foiled when wielding their weapons!

Mega Man 11

Mega Man 11 has plenty for both new fans and series veterans to enjoy! Classic characters, including Mega Man’s canine companion Rush, will make their return to help Mega Man along the way. A variety of difficulty options are also available to ensure that everyone from newcomers to hardcore fans can enjoy the rewarding, challenging gameplay the series is known for.

This is just the start of Mega Man’s 30th anniversary, and we have even more in store to celebrate the Blue Bomber’s history throughout the anniversary year in 2018. If you’re a fan of the futuristic Mega Man X games, we’ve got great news for you – all eight Mega Man X games are coming to PS4 next year! Screenshot_20171120-081308.png

The adventure mode from what we see so far send the player on quest to uncover the games story. The multiplayer mode allows players to use their favorite characters from the series and participate in online and offline battles. The upcoming season of characters from the series are to be included in the game as well. You can check out the trailer below:

(Editors Opinion: This game looks amazing and I’m loving the visual effects presentation of this. It comes off as a mix of a fighter mixed with JRPG elements. If you have played the early PS4 exclusive J_Stars this seems to be a bit similar to that. I look forward to getting my hands on this game to possibly platinum if it doesn’t to be too difficult. I really the group elements of the game for modes like 2V2 and so forth. This is definitely be on my watch list in 2018.)

The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia releases on PS4 January 25th in Japan and February 9th in North America and Europe. But what do you think of the trailer are you interested in the game? Have you watched the series that currently plays on Netflix? Who are you favorite characters from the series. Comment below let us know. PlayStation announces changes ahead for PSX 2017?

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Well it’s only a few weeks away from greatness that is known as PSX. As you know many of us here at the What’s Up PlayStation team are going to be in attendance of PSX. And this year there will be more of us than usual alongside new members of the WUPS team being announced soon. With that being said on the announcement side of things. It has been announced via the PS Blog that things will be a bit different for PSX this year. Mainly for those fans who may not be in attendance of the event who usually look forward to a keynote event sadly it seems there will not be a keynote this year.

This year will be the first of the past PSX events to not have a key note presser for the event.  It has been reported that Early Bird ticket holders for PlayStation Experience will be granted access to an exclusive presentation at the Anaheim Convention Center the evening of Friday, December 8 starting at 8:00pm Pacific Time. There is said to be a few surprises and more however as far as the traditional keynote we all expect when it comes to PSX, it seems that will be absent this year in some capacity. However there will still continue to be the traditional panels to be streamed via the usual channels of Twitch and YouTube.

Edit: It seems that we have been updated via Sid Shuman which he has stated via the PS Blog. The keynote event will take place on Friday evening instead of Saturday. And this special event is only available to early bird ticket holders.

Key Note

This news may or may not be a bit disappointing. However it should be said that there will still be announcements via panels and exclusive hands on access to games at the event for those in attendance. However this is a definite change that will grasp the attention of many who have come to expect to see this event even when they are not in attendance.

With that being said the PSX show floor will also be open longer than usual.

Show Hours

Saturday

10:00am to 10:00pm

Sunday

10:00am to 10:00pm

And tickets are still available for purchase.Which you can purchase via the link below.

PlayStation Experience 2017 | Buy Tickets

The list of developers in attendance is still being sorted but so far we do know that we’ll get an update on titles such as dreams which they’ve released a teaser trailer which you’ll be able to view below. Other devs said to be in attendance so far are Sucker Punch Productions, Media Molecule, with more to be announced in the coming days. It’s said that the show floor has been expanded by 50% which is amazing considering the size of the show floor if you were in attendance last year.

With that being said more details in regards to more info on developer panels, autograph signings, merchandise updates, Capcom Cup and other activities. With that being said you can expect to see and hear more via the WUPS team this December at PSX 2017. Let us know what do you think of this change to this years PSX? Are you still excited or are you disappointed comment below and let us know with that being said make sure to keep us bookmarked and check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

Horizon Zero Dawn: Frozen Wilds New Banuk Trailer & New Trophy Details

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Guerrilla Games has shared a bit of details in regards to the making of the minimal prominent group in the game known as The Banuk Tribe. As per the PS Blog GG divulged some details for the “behind the scenes trailer” and more. Make sure to read the info below:

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds was an opportunity to go back and delve into the culture of one of Horizon Zero Dawn’s most mysterious tribes. Although the Banuk didn’t feature prominently in the base game, the tribe’s rugged individuality, nomadic existence and harmonious relationship with natural and machine life set it apart them from all of the other tribes.

Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen WildsHorizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds

The developers went to great lengths to create tribes that would feel believable and at home in the environments they inhabited, and the Banuk tribe was no exception. In the video interview above, Studio Art Director Jan-Bart van Beek, Narrative Director John Gonzalez, Lead Concept Artist Roland IJzermans and Lead Writer Ben McCaw talk about the development of the Banuk tribe, and the ways in which Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds builds on the foundations laid in Horizon Zero Dawn.

You’ll be able to explore the Cut and discover the unique culture of the Banuk tribe for yourself when Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds launches on November 7th.

The Trophies are broken down into 2 sections one of them being known as Feats Trophies,

HZD Feats

and the next being known as Quest Trophies, HZD Quest

It’s rumored that the game adds as much as 15 hours of gameplay. Which is considerably generous for 14.99 DLC.

(Editors Opinion: I wasn’t originally interested in coming back to the game of Horizon Zero Dawn. Especially with me being the self admitted Platinum trophy whore of the WUPS crew. I felt that since I acquired my well deserved platinum. That I wouldn’t have a need to return to the game. But being invested in the base game and having since seeing this trailer. I will 100% return to the game as I look forward to delving more into Horizon Zero Dawn’s evolving lore. And the added incentive of new trophies makes the deal sweeter however having since achieving the platinum. I’m not as worried to complete 100% of the trophies but it does provide a nice incentive to close the game of the my current completion percentage of the game.)

Editors Opinion: Although I’ve never gotten around to play this title in particular. I am extremely excited to play this game and will even look to platinum this title as I’ve heard many good things about this long awaited gem. Either way I am very happy and look forward to reporting to you guys the release date of the North American and EU version.

But what do you think? Are you looking forward to this game? Will you pick it us once it hits stateside? Comment below let us know. For news like this & more. Keep us bookmarked and make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation!

Check out the New Chaos Code Toushinsai Trailer

Whats Up PlayStation Nation,

If you’re into fighters and you follow our partners The Online Arcade then you have heard about Chaos Code in some capacity. Chaos Code – Toushinsai is the Follow up to the Digital Release of Chaos Code -New Sign of Catastrophe- which has been available on PS3 and PS4 consoles. Currently Chaos Code is available now as a PSN digital title which is reasonably priced for $19.99 currently. And if you have seen any of our tournaments via The Online Arcade it should be known this is a pretty solid fighter.

As of now not much is detailed about the title but we have a trailer below via Gematsu’s YouTube Channel which you can see the trailer below:

Editors Opinion: As a fan of the first title even before it’s PS3 release I hope this follows up as PS4 release sooner than later. Although this eventually reached PS consoles it released fairly late in a time when the PS4 in particular was in need of a fresh fighter to combat the drought of the new console’s release. I’m talking about prior to the release of Ultra Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter V on next gen consoles. I hope this 2nd iteration of the title gets the attention and feedback it deserves. As this is pretty solid fighter with a good amount of content for the price.

This is currently slated as an Arcade title and no further details have been released in regard to a PS4 console release. But we will keep you updated as details roll out. If you’re interested in checking out a tournament for this title to get a feel of the gameplay on a full scale experience make sure to check out one of our Previous Tournaments which you can view here the full live stream hosted by myself MistaOfficialVG(WARNING EXPLICIT LANGUAGE WAS USED IN THIS STREAM)
