(Editors Opinion: Well the selection is pretty robust on the PlayStation Side of things. It has definitely been a great year for the PlayStation Centric Gamer many of us feel like 2018 will be on par or even better as a gamer. As this is a great time to be not only a PlayStation gamer but a gamer in general. My only hope with the game awards is that there aren’t any horrible Musical Performances this year as some of the previous years have provided some of the most cringe worthy moments of Gaming and Entertainment related cross-over attempts. I’m still undecided on attending this year but I still look forward to the announcements, reveals and more.)

What do you think of the categories do you feel there are any games missing that should have been nominated? Also don’t forget that the Game Awards premiere December 7th and the times you can view are posted below:

Arc System Works Reveal more Characters for Blaz Blaze Cross Tag Battle!

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

If you haven’t seen this weekend was quite the reveal and we’re not talking about football. We’re talking BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. As we draw near the official release in 2018 Arc System Works has been privy with releasing details for this up and coming fighter. Well we’ve luckily been given the opportunity of another character reveal. And this time was it wasn’t just one character or game play. This go round it has revealed that Weiss Schnee is on the way to the BBCTB scene. As you can see below via the trailer that she’s not the only one that’s on the way. Check out the trailer below to see what we mean.

If you’re a fan in particular of the RWBY series you can see that Weiss is one of the fan favorites alongside others from the late great Monty Oum (Creator of the RWBY series). Moving forward, The trailer reveals not only Weiss but others such as Hazama from the blazblue series.

Hazama-blazblue

As well as Rachel Alucard from the series.

Rachel_Alucard_(Chronophantasma,_Character_Select_Artwork)

As of now there is no set release date for the up and coming fighter only a release window of 2018. Although one would suspect that it will possibly release shortly after Dragon Ball FighterZ to avoid a conflict of interest and as well to let the Fighter game community (FGC) adjust and embrace the Dragon Ball FighterZ title first.

Editors Opinion: I am looking forward to this title as it has a great mixture of music from the Blazblue, UNIEL, RWBY and Persona 4 Arena Series. Although I particularly hope that they also include some characters from Persona 5. I am very much looking forward to playing this title. 3 Particular characters I am looking forward to and hoping to see on the roster are “Tager, V-13 (BlazBlue Series) and Yang (RWBY Series). One can only hope, but overall this title is looking fantastic. I’m not too familiarized with the UNIEL characters outside of Mika, However I am looking forward to see what the lesser known titles are offering as well.

But what do you think? What characters would you like to see. How do you think the game play looks. Are you interested in this fighter at all? Comment below and let us know. For news like this and more make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

Persona 5 Standard Edition Comes With A Little Extra

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

It’s been almost 4 years since we’ve been introduced to the gaming goodness known as Persona 5. The 5th entry into the series has been highly anticipated among JRPG and PlayStation fans alike. Since it’s  2013 TGS reveal fans have been chomping at the bit to get their hands on this anticipated gem. Although our far-eastern PlayStation family have had their hands on the title since September 2016. Atlus seems to be willing to make good on the wait for the western fans by giving us something special even for those of you who haven’t pre-ordered the limited steel book edition and “Take Your Heart” collectors edition. But have no fear Atlus has you covered.  All standard editions will include a limited edition controller sticker. Which I personally think is really cool by the way.

Persona 5lect

This will be included in limited amounts of the standard editions I presume. So make sure to check your local listings to get your hands on one of these limited controller skins as supplies may be limited. I must add these skins look pretty darn sweet. As of now word on if these skins are included in any other editions but this provides a nice little incentive for those who may be feeling left out or were unable to snag a steel book or collectors edition. Atlus has also included a tutorial video for those who may need a little bit of help on applying the skins to your Dual-Shock 4 controllers which you can check out the video below:

Persona 5 is only a few short weeks away and released April 4th. Are you interested in picking up this title? Or does this give you incentive, or motivation to purchase this upcoming game? Comment below and let us know. For this and all things PlayStation make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

The trailer showcase new characters the Phantom Thieves will encounter during their adventure. Giving the player certain buffs while fighting in dungeons.

  • Shinya Oda – A shooting game fanatic who knowns everything about guns. Even though he’s young, he assists the Phantom Thieves with learning new skills to use in battle
  • Ichiko Ohya – A journalist who enjoys the occasional drink. Additionally, she enjoys writing news about the Phantom Thieves and can give them fame as well as valuable leads.
  • Chihaya Mifune – A fortune-teller who isn’t just trying to take your money. Speaking with her can add buffs to the party that they can take with them into dungeons.
  • Yuuki Mishima – A social media savvy high school student who figures out the identity for the Phantom Thieves. Speaking with him can increase EXP earned in dungeons as well as add buffs to party members.
