Director and writer, Neil Druckmann, co-writer Halley Gross, and key members of the game’s cast discuss the writing process, casting, performance capture, and more. For those attending the event, there will also be a signing session following the panel.

(Editors Opinion: Well I’ve never been a panel guy it mainly would depend on the game but each I’ve attended PSX I’ve found at least one Panel that grabs my attention last year it was the Horizon panel. This year it will probably be Uncharted Anniversary Celebration.  With Hopes to meet the great Nolan North! It would be nice for PlayStation and Naughty Dog to possibly hold a tournament of sorts for Uncharted during the anniversary for more serious players like myself and others who would more than likely be in attendance for PSX but one can only hope. Overall the panels seem pretty solid I will also be on the look out for the Sucker Punch Ghost of Tsushima Panel as I’m very eager to get my hands on this title! At any rate PSX is a great event to attend to get a taste of industry events like these on a not so crowded level in comparison to E3 so to speak.)

What do you think are you excited for PSX next week will you be in attendance at PSX? What panels are you looking forward to seeing? Lastly what events would you like to see included as a showcase at PSX? Quantic Dream Reveals New Detroit: Become Human Trailer at Paris Games Week 2017

What’s Up PlayStation nation,

If you haven’t seen already Quantic Dream has released a new intense trailer for their upcoming title Detroit: Become Human. We’ve first seen this title in 2011 where it was initially a tech demo showcase. It later became a marquee step for Quantic Dream and David Cage as it won an award at the LA Short Festival — a first for a short based on a game engine. Now today and past showings such as E3 2017 and this week for Paris Games Week. We’ve been introduced into more details in regards to Detroit: Become Human. Here’s what David Cage has divulged so far:

Detroit is the story of our world in twenty years, a world where androids that look like humans are treated like objects and have no rights. It is the story of three androids’ struggles: Kara escaping to protect a little girl, Markus fighting to be free, and Connor chasing deviants; three stories that may well determine the future of all androids.

As the player, you will tell these three intertwined stories simultaneously through your actions and decisions. You will be confronted with difficult choices, moral dilemmas, and critical decisions that will shape the destiny of your characters and the future of their world.

Detroit Become Human PGW-04

Your actions will significantly change the story. Choices made as one character may have an impact on the others. You will also need to remember that all three characters can die at any point, which won’t lead to a game over, but will allow the story to continue without them…

Detroit offers a unique experience, something you have never played before. It is a spectacular and unexpected journey full of emotions, twists and turns, dangers and hopes, in the most branching experience ever created by Quantic Dream; where every choice matters.

While playing Detroit, you will not only discover these three characters but many others, and we hope you will remember Connor, Markus, and Kara’s stories for a long time – three androids fighting to become who they are…

(Editors Opinion: I cannot wait to get my hands on this title. Seeing this reminds me that I need to finish Beyond: Two Souls as I sadly put off. However with titles like Heavy Rain [which was my first Quantic dream game and first platinum from one of their games.] I’m very excited to play this upcoming release. So this will be a Day One for me!.)

Sucker Punch Reveals: Ghost of Tsushima at Paris Games Week

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

This week begins anew with new game announcements from PlayStation at Paris Games Week. To start things off right we’re going to begin with the latest news of a long awaited and rumored Sucker Punch IP. Which is titled: Ghost of Tsushima It’s said to be an open world samurai title which is but don’t take our word for it check out the details below:

In 1274, the Mongol army invaded Japan, their first stop: Tsushima Island. In Ghost of Tsushima, you play as a battered samurai, fighting back against overwhelming odds. In the trailer, you see the leader of the Mongols, a guy I would describe as an “uncomfortably reasonable killer” trying to intimidate our hero. It’s all there, right in that little scene. The power and confidence of the Mongol Empire coming face to face with pure, lethal, samurai determination.

We’re excited to finally be able to talk about the game and look forward to sharing more in the coming months. Keeping it a secret for so long has been painful. The trailer is the perfect way to share with the world what we’ve been dying to play for so many years—fighting back invaders in feudal Japan, mastering the katana and building your legend as “the Ghost.”

(Editors Opinion: I’m very, very interested in this title. I love Samurai and Ninja culture. So this is really up my ally, alongside the expertise of Sucker punch’s combat system and their utilization of the PS4 itself is very, very interesting. I cannot wait to get my hands on this title.)

Sucker Punch has said that more information will be revealed in the next few months. What do you think of the trailer so far are you interested as this is Sucker Punch’s new challenge into an open world samurai title? Comment below and let us know. Sony reveals new PSVR model to release soon with slight changes ahead

What’s up PlayStation Nation,

If you’re still on the fence about VR Sony has made a few changes that could possibly change your mind and maybe place the peripheral up your buyers list. Per the PlayStation blog the new updated PSVR FAQ post detailed the changes ahead:

Is there a new PlayStation VR model? How is it different?

A hardware update to PlayStation VR is being prepared. The new version, model number CUH-ZVR2, features an updated design that enables the stereo headphone cables to be integrated with the VR headset and a slimmer, streamlined connection cable. There’s also an updated Processor Unit that supports HDR pass through, enabling users to enjoy HDR-compatible PS4 content on a TV without having to disconnect the Processor Unit in between the TV and the PS4 system. This function can be used only when the VR headset is turned off.

When will the new PS VR model become available in North America? How much will it be?

We will share details on the launch timing in North America at a later date. The pricing of the PS VR bundles will remain the same.

How can I distinguish between the old PS VR headset and the new one when I’m purchasing?

The packaging for PlayStation VR will change slightly when the new model hits stores. To differentiate, look for the model number printed on the box. The previous PS VR’s model number is CUH-ZVR1, and the new PS VR’s model number is CUH-ZVR2. Also, the product image on the packaging will be updated to show changes on the new model, like the integrated headphones on the VR headset.

If I already own a PS VR, can I swap out my old Processor Unit with the updated one?

Because the cables of CUH-ZVR1 and CUH-ZVR2 are different, you cannot swap the Processor Units.

Are the PS VR games I already own compatible with the new model?

Yes, all PS VR games are compatible with both PS VR models.

Editors opinion: “Me personally this makes me more eager to purchase a PSVR after now acquiring a 4K HDR television ( Which I am currently an 1 week old owner of such). I initially planned on purchasing a PSVR by 2018 anyway so this is actually perfect. At any rate I feel this creates an incentive to purchase a PSVR even more now.

How do you feel about this news? Does this create even more or less of a reason to buy. Current owners of the new PSVR model what are your thoughts? Comment below and let us know. For news like this and more make sure to check with us here at Whats Up PlayStation.

It would be safe to assume that we can expect this title to finally grace our consoles this coming holiday (Nov, 29th). Alongside this news it has also been reported that the Season Pass DLC for Final Fantasy XV will include 3 episodes of new content. Which will include multiplayer of up 4 players online. As reported via the Square-Enix press release here are the full details below:

“The main focus of the Season Pass is three original episodes that take place during the events of FINAL FANTASY XV. Each episode allows players to take control of one of Noctis’ comrades in all-new adventures that offer unique play styles tailored to each character. Players can explore previously unseen areas filled with new monsters, and even obtain weapons that can later be used in the main game. Episode Gladiolus is the first new character adventure to arrive, and will be followed by Episode Ignis and Episode Prompto. Each episode will be available for purchase individually.

Following the release of the character episodes, Comrades—an expansion pack for FINAL FANTASY XV—will introduce a brand-new online co-op mode for up to four players which features intense battles allowing players to take full control of Noctis, Gladio, Prompto and Ignis as a group. Comrades will be available for separate purchase, and is also included in the Season Pass.

This additional content and character episodes are managed by Haruyoshi Sawatari (Producer, Business Division 2) and overseen by FINAL FANTASY XV Director Hajime Tabata with development led by core members of the FINAL FANTASY XV team.”
