The Online Arcade will be celebrating Street Fighter’s 30th anniversary by having both Ultra Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter V tournaments during the month of September. Street Fighter has played a huge role with the initial start of The Online Arcade, so we will like to make this month special for our supports and the fans of such a illustrious franchise. We will have tons of information in the future pertaining to both tournaments. Stay up to date by following us on Twitter @TheOnlineArcade.
Ultra Street Fighter IV: FOCUS ATTACK (Lite)Ultra Street Fighter IV: FOCUS ATTACK will be the first tournament that takes place in September and will be a lite version tournament. The tournament will begin on September 9th starting at 6 pm EST. You can sign up today by clicking here. It is important that all participants write their PSN ID in the Discussion Tab on Challonge and the check in process begins on September 7th, two days prior to the tournament start date. All participants of FOCUS ATTACK will have access to the discord, for match up updates or any questions pertaining to the tournament.
Street Fighter V: Final Bout II (Premier)Next up is our premier tournament for Street Fighter V. Street Fighter V: Final Bout II is an 3 day event beginning at 7:45 pm EDT on September 22nd and ends of September 24th. Sign up today by clicking here. Just like SFV Ultimate Battle we had in June, Final Bout II will share the same method we used to mitigate some of the wait time. By not having some matches be displayed up on the live stream, particularly Losers Bracket Round 1 and some of Losers Bracket Round 2. This will hopefully assure that participants will not be waiting a long time to begin there next match.Participants will be notified ahead of time if sent to Losers Bracket letting them know if they’re fighting on stream or not. We ask that everyone be ready to fight during tournament time as we send out invites to the lobby throughout the night. It is also imperative that all participants must write their CFN ID in the Discussion Tab on Challonge! Also Check ins will be taken place on September 20th, which is two days prior to the tournament start date and time.
What about the PRIZE POT?The PRIZE POT will have a total of $200 dollars. ( Money earned from being in the Top Three will be distributed through PayPal)
1st Place-$125 Dollars
2nd Place– $50 Dollars
3rd Place– $25 Dollars
Here are some key factors about this tournament:
- KANZUKI BEACH, SKIES OF HONOR, AND THE RING OF DESTINY STAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED DURING THIS TOURNAMENT. (If any of these stages are picked, you will have to stop the match and re-pick a usable stage)
- Write your PSN/CFN ID in the Discussion Tab after signing up to the tournament.

It’s almost here! Final Fantasy XIV’s newest expansion Stormblood is right around the corners and the fans can hardly wait. People have been waiting patiently to see more of the Red Mage and Samurai classes in action with the rest of the crew. In this latest trailer the benchmark footage will have fans urging for more from this expansion for the PlayStation 4 and PC, releasing on June 20th.
Along with the benchmark, we have received word that Final Fantasy 14 will be receive two play modes through a PS4 Pro enhanced patch. One of the modes will keep the same resolution and give you a smooth 60 frames per second. While the other gives you the option to increase the resolution while maintaining the same frame rate. This update should release along side the Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood expansion. So check out this benchmark and tell us what you think about the footage. Will you be joining us in Eorzea to continue what I would call one of the greatest stories ever told?

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,
Here is our Drawn To Death interview with David Jaffe. Drawn To Death is the first project with his new studio The Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency. Tonight we spoke about the games creation, the target markets, and how they’re planning to rid of the bad stigma a ‘Free to Play’ game can cause.
Drawn To Death takes place within a teenagers sketch book, where he has a bunch of his hand drawn creations go out in an all out war against each other. Drawn To Death is a 4 player online arena shooter, coming soon exclusively for the PS4.
What does Drawn To Death have to offer:
- Unconventional Combat
Combining each character’s unique arsenal of weapons with deep gameplay mechanics, Drawn to Death blurs the lines of a nuanced fighting game with the action of a competitive shooter.
- Show Your Skill
Players can level up characters by completing specific challenges that unlock unique rewards and upgrade characters’ weapons and abilities.
- Solo and Team Play
Players will be able to face off in free-for-all and team based modes. Play with friends, or against the world.
- Extraordinary Visuals
The frenetic, pencil-sketch visuals add to the game’s in-your-face combat.
