(Editors Opinion: I’m hoping for a full on grappler character. So far however Cell is the only player who some what fits the feel of a character I’m looking forward to using the most. However I am optimistic for more variety in the roster so far. For the most part we’ve been pretty much able to guess to some degree who would be included in the game. However I still look forward to playing this fighter in the future and you can most definitely expect The Online Arcade to host many a tournaments of this title in the future.)

The multiplayer mode allows players to use their favorite characters from the series and participate in online and offline battles. (Editors Opinion: This game looks amazing and I’m loving the visual effects presentation of this. It comes off as a mix of a fighter mixed with JRPG elements. If you have played the early PS4 exclusive J_Stars this seems to be a bit similar to that. I look forward to getting my hands on this game to possibly platinum if it doesn’t to be too difficult. I really the group elements of the game for modes like 2V2 and so forth. This is definitely be on my watch list in 2018.)

The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia releases on PS4 January 25th in Japan and February 9th in North America and Europe. But what do you think of the trailer are you interested in the game? Dragon Quest XI Screenshots Out in the Wild

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

With Dragon Quest XI having an expected release schedule for 2017 in Japan, here are some screenshots we sought out in the wild for fans of the series to indulge themselves with. Via Dualshockers we learn that the PS4 version will have two modes. A “free motion battle mode”, which will allow players to move freely around the battlefield, giving players an slight advantage for sneak attacks on enemies. “Automatic camera battle mode”, which gives players a more cinematic perspective in battles.

But don’t be alarmed Dragon Quest fans, Dragon Quest XI battle system is still turn based. That’s a sigh of relief.

Persona 5 Standard Edition Comes With A Little Extra

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

It’s been almost 4 years since we’ve been introduced to the gaming goodness known as Persona 5. The 5th entry into the series has been highly anticipated among JRPG and PlayStation fans alike. Since it’s  2013 TGS reveal fans have been chomping at the bit to get their hands on this anticipated gem. Although our far-eastern PlayStation family have had their hands on the title since September 2016. Atlus seems to be willing to make good on the wait for the western fans by giving us something special even for those of you who haven’t pre-ordered the limited steel book edition and “Take Your Heart” collectors edition. But have no fear Atlus has you covered.  All standard editions will include a limited edition controller sticker. Which I personally think is really cool by the way.

Persona 5lect

This will be included in limited amounts of the standard editions I presume. So make sure to check your local listings to get your hands on one of these limited controller skins as supplies may be limited. I must add these skins look pretty darn sweet. As of now word on if these skins are included in any other editions but this provides a nice little incentive for those who may be feeling left out or were unable to snag a steel book or collectors edition. Atlus has also included a tutorial video for those who may need a little bit of help on applying the skins to your Dual-Shock 4 controllers which you can check out the video below:

Persona 5 is only a few short weeks away and released April 4th. Are you interested in picking up this title? Or does this give you incentive, or motivation to purchase this upcoming game? Comment below and let us know. For this and all things PlayStation make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

Final Fantasy XV Has Gone Gold & Will Feature Online Multiplayer Via DLC

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Square-Enix has been pretty popular today as they’ve persistently dropped information today from their Paris Games Week keynote. So with that being said, after 10 years of development and anticipation hell, Final Fantasy XV has officially gone gold. As it two disc were pictured on twitter below:

It would be safe to assume that we can expect this title to finally grace our consoles this coming holiday (Nov, 29th). Alongside this news it has also been reported that the Season Pass DLC for Final Fantasy XV will include 3 episodes of new content. Which will include multiplayer of up 4 players online. As reported via the Square-Enix press release here are the full details below:

“The main focus of the Season Pass is three original episodes that take place during the events of FINAL FANTASY XV. Each episode allows players to take control of one of Noctis’ comrades in all-new adventures that offer unique play styles tailored to each character. Players can explore previously unseen areas filled with new monsters, and even obtain weapons that can later be used in the main game. Episode Gladiolus is the first new character adventure to arrive, and will be followed by Episode Ignis and Episode Prompto. Each episode will be available for purchase individually.

Following the release of the character episodes, Comrades—an expansion pack for FINAL FANTASY XV—will introduce a brand-new online co-op mode for up to four players which features intense battles allowing players to take full control of Noctis, Gladio, Prompto and Ignis as a group. Comrades will be available for separate purchase, and is also included in the Season Pass.

This additional content and character episodes are managed by Haruyoshi Sawatari (Producer, Business Division 2) and overseen by FINAL FANTASY XV Director Hajime Tabata with development led by core members of the FINAL FANTASY XV team.”

Where is the PS4 Pro Marketing?

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

As November 10th quickly approaches myself and fans alike are wondering where is the acknowledgement of the PlayStation 4 Pro? Sony has been busy this year with the constant drop of games, which isn’t a bad thing by any mean. But as we are at almost a few weeks away from the PS4 Pro release, we’ve only received information of game delay announcements and hardware announcements (PS4 Slim & PSVR release dates, etc.). Aside from major 3rd party releases of games available for the standard PS4, there has been little to no marketing in regards to the PS4 Pro. There has been no announcement of bundles which is a contrast difference to the PSVR bundle that’s available right now. Even in recent events of Tokyo Game Show PlayStation has been vocal and even acknowledges the PS4 Slim. To add more questions on their direction towards it’s target audience, they’ve even revealed a PS4 Slim bundle for Final Fantasy XV  more so in comparison to the PS4 Pro.

Even fresh off the September reveal of the PS4 Pro. I recently visited Japan two weeks after the announcement of the PS4 Pro. There there was no signs or focus even a little bit for the PS4 Pro during the initial Tokyo Game Show keynote. While sightseeing on my vacation in Japan, I made sure to visit The Akihabara district. From what I and many were lead to understand this particular region of Tokyo to be the mecca of Video Game Enthusiast. So while scouring the streets of Electric, not seeing much marketing or a single mention of the PS4 Pro left me a bit confused. Especially with seeing the focus for the Final Fantasy XV PS4 bundle being recently revealed and seeing more focus for the current standing PS4’s and upcoming bundle.

Fast forward to the present. A week after the release of PSVR. I figured we’d surely hear something by now in regards to a Call of Duty PS4 Pro Bundle or something of the sorts considering that PlayStation itself has marketing rights with COD, Battlefront as well the recently announced Red Dead Redemption 2. One would think that Sony has something up it’s sleeve for bringing awareness to the mid gen console that’s only a few weeks away from release. Sadly nothing has been announced and PS4 Pro continues to receive small spurts of information in regards to which games will support it and how those games will be supported.

Some PlayStation fans feel that the PS4 Pro is unnecessary and since it’s reveal maybe Sony are reworking it’s messaging plan on how to get the console back in good terms with it’s gaming audience. Either way with the holiday approaching and the disappointment of recent game delays it would be nice to see Sony back from it’s stumbled approach into the fall season with a refined focus for PS4 Pro messaging as well bundle for PS4 Slim and Pro SKU’s. What do you think PlayStation Nation? Do you want to see more focus on the PS4 Pro? Are you interested in the PS4 Pro and plan to purchase it in the future or so? Comment below let us know.
