Call of Duty: WWII is one of this years most anticipated titles releasing on the PlayStation 4. It was announced earlier this summer, a beta would be releasing for the shooter first on PS4 August 25th (for those who Pre Order), with the open beta starting for everyone else on September 1st. If you’re one of those people (like myself) dying to get your hands on the game, maybe this bit of information about the new create a class system will hold you until then. Call of Duty: WWII releases for the PS4 on November 4th, 2017.

Call of Duty WWIIThere will be five divisions which will be included in the Call of Duty:WWII beta, here’s an overview of each division from the PlayStation Blog:

Armored Division:
This Division specializes in laying down a withering offense to buy their team breathing room. Their bipod-equipped light machinegun shreds lightly armored targets, while their armor protects them from enemy explosives, tactical equipment and flamethrowers. When extra punch is required, the Anti-Tank Grenade sticky bomb is the ideal choice.

Division Skill:
LMG Bipod III: Protect territory by mounting your machinegun on ledges or while prone for less recoil
Division Training

Armored III:Immune to Shell Shock and Tactical Equipment. Take less
fire damage. Take less explosives damage.Amored Division

Mountain Division
Remaining undetected, this Division excels at covert operations and stealth gameplay. When armed with sniper rifles, the Mountain Division prefers to stay at a distance, waiting patiently for the perfect shot. If detected, smoke grenades and the S-Mine 44 “Bouncing Betty” provide opportunities to escape or retaliate.

Division Skill
Sniper Sharpshooter III: Block out your surroundings and in return acquire aim assist and enemy names while holding breath.

Division Training
Mountain III: Invisible to enemy Recon Aircraft while moving. Hidden to player-controlled Streaks. Quieter Movement.

This maneuverable Division is usually the first to the fight, parachuting into the thick of the action. Armed with suppressed submachine guns, these frontline fighters excel at taking and holding enemy positions until more heavily armored reinforcements arrive.

Division Skill
SMG Suppressor III: Hides muzzle flash and prevents gunfire from appearing on enemy mini-maps, but reduces the range of weapon.

Division Training
Airborne III: Sprint for longer distances. Climb over obstacles faster. Increased sprint speed.

Expeditionary Division
Armed with a hearty supply of explosives and tactical equipment, the fighters specialize in sabotage, infiltration, and close-quarters combat. Their special Division Skill loads devastating incendiary shells into their shotguns to set fires and terrorize their opponents.

Division Training
Expeditionary III: Select a piece of Tactical and Lethal Equipment. Throw equipment faster, farther & while sprinting. Resupply equipment from killed enemies.

Infantry Division
As all-around combat specialists, the Infantry Division emphasizes marksmanship and rarely misses their shots. Special training on the use of the bayonet makes Infantry riflemen a threat at all ranges.

Division Training

Infantry III: Additional attachment on Primary Weapon. Extra magazines. Move faster while aiming down sights.

SUPERHOT VR- PSVR E3 2017 Trailer

Superhot comes to PSVR summer 2017 after being on the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive for some time. During E3 2017 the game picked up a lot of awards, displaying how great the VR implementation has been for SUPERHOT Team.

LawBreakers Making It’s Console Debut On PlayStation 4- Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

After continuous alpha testing last year on PC and closed betas, LawBreakers will finally make it’s console debut on the PlayStation 4. After the announcement of a PS4 version fans took to twitter asking Game Director, Cliff Bleszinski a few questions. We leaned that LawBreakers will not support Cross Play, it will be 60 frames per second on PS4, and will release soon on the PS4 costing only $29.99. For PS4 Pro owners you will be happy to hear LawBreakers will have Pro Enhanced features.

The development team at Impulse Gear gives an very detail explanation on their approach on bringing Farpoint to PlayStation VR. Farpoint is an full fledged First Person Shooter with a extremely strong narrative available now on PSVR. PSVR owners can also immerse themselves with a friend as they explore and fight together in 2 player co-op mode. (A PS Plus membership is required)

Shadow Warrior 2 Hits PS4 on May 19th

In case you haven’t heard the critically acclaimed, FPS Ninja adventure, Shadow Warrior 2 makes it arrival to the PS4 May 19th. And will be available in limited retailers physically for $39.99. Those who take advantage of the digital side of things have a chance to get more “wang” for their buck as Devolver digital is offering a copy of the shadow warrior remaster with the purchase of Shadow Warrior 2. Details are, as stated via the PS Blog:

The teams at Flying Wild Hog and Devolver Digital are excited to announce that Shadow Warrior 2 will hit PS4 on May 19 and will launch with The Shadow Warrior Collection that includes a free download of Shadow Warrior for PS4!

The promotion will be available for the first 2 weeks of the games release. Shadow Warrior 2 whether you purchase it day one or later however, will still be available for purchase for the price stated above. ($39.99 MSRP).

The team gave a bit of insight on the changes they’ve made for the PlayStation community who’ve experience the first shadow warrior title:

“…During development of Shadow Warrior 2 on PS4 and we spent a lot of time testing how switching from ranged gunplay to close quarters melee combat felt on DualShock 4. It was crucial that players be able to both aim and fire their ranged weapons at a distance and then seamlessly (and quickly) switch to melee weapons to perform brutal slashes and devastating combos at close range.

The team took great care in putting together a weapons selection configuration that took advantage of the DualShock 4’s features to keep the player in control and have all weapons at their disposal easily. The dual thumbsticks, touch pad, and directional pad can all be used in different ways to equip, charge, and execute attacks so that players really get that ninja feel while traversing the levels.

We’re proud of our results and think the PlayStation community will appreciate this attention to detail that is so crucial when playing a white knuckle FPS like Shadow Warrior 2.”

It should be noted that shadow warrior 2 also support 4 player co-op online for the campaign and promises to be non linear for those who may have felt a bit restricted on their last offering. This will allow players to venture off into side missions for level grinding, weapon collection, etc. If they choose so. What Makes Call of Duty Great? (Opinion)

Call of Duty: WWII worldwide reveal takes place on April 26th and there is a lot of excitement or concerns shared among fans with it’s announcement. Within this console generation we’ve had the opportunity to play four Call of Duty games fans generally had mix reactions towards. Call of Duty: Ghosts, Advance Warfare, Black Ops 3, and Infinite Warfare had all received mixed reactions from causal to the hardcore fans and with the exception of Call of Duty: Ghosts most fans have displayed the same outcry, “we want boots on the ground!”.

Today I want to share my opinions on what makes Call of Duty a great shooter. I never felt it was just about having boots on the ground the reason Call of Duty became such a popular franchise. A great Call of Duty game always shared these three elements for making such an addictive game to play.

Blops2 slums

1.Great MapsSlums(Black Ops2), Firing Range(Black Ops), Skidrow(Modern Warfare 2), Pipeline(Modern Warfare), Raid(Black Ops 2), Afghan(Modern Warfare 2), Nuketown(Black Ops) are all great maps I can list just of the top of my head. What made these maps great was the fact it kept to the core map design of a Call of Duty traditional map. By having three lanes- a left, middle, right lanes. Not plastering maps with head glitch spots or having the correct map size for gunfights and respawns. It’s great that certain Call of Duty games will bring back some of these maps in a remastered version in the newer games, but lets not rely on nostalgia for having great maps. I would love Sledgehammer Games to have newly created great maps for players to enjoy.

MW2 Guns

2.Proper Gun Variety/Balance– One of my biggest worries for Call of Duty: WWII is the gun variety and balance. The reason why i’m concerned is due to Call of Duty: Advance Warfare and Sledgehammer Games lack of implementing the two. Everybody that plays Call of Duty has their default gun they use so I understand that, but playing Advance Warfare online most of the community only used on gun, the Bal-27.

Players used that gun not that there weren’t other guns to use, but the Bal-27 just beats out any other gun in the game. Based on my experience when I tried to mix it up using another gun, I calmly or frustratingly switched right back to the Bal-27 to land a good K/D. So if one thing I am really keeping my eye on from Sledgehammer Games is how they plan to balance these guns. With the exception of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, the past Call of Duty games this generation haven’t been doing a good job on the variety aspect for the guns. There’s also no more excitement to level up the other guns or getting any of camo colors for them. Having that balance and variety would be an attempt you bring the joy back of using each individual gun class, with the possibility of encouraging players to go get those camo’s.

Scorestreaks

3.Kill/Scorestreaks that matters– I want to feel that gratification of earning high kill/scorestreaks again. If I earned 10, 13, 19 kills in a row, we should be compensated justly for that. With the recent Call of Duty’s even when you earned a high Kill/scorestreak it can easily be disposed of. Leaving you to ask yourself, why would I select those Kill/Scorestreaks? Most people would bring up the campers situation with this notion, but I would counter with “Call of Duty always and forever have campers”. The last Call of Duty that considerably rewarded players on your kills on the battlefield with great kill/scorestreaks was Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 perfectly implemented scorestreaks that had a balance for what type of Call of Duty player you are. For the beginner/intermediate player that can earn small scorestreaks to help your team with a UAV or earn yourself a extra kill with a Hunter Killer Drone, The experienced player with mid tier scorestreaks like laying down a tactical spot for your Sentry gun or raining hell earning more kills with your Stealth Chopper. Then there are those who are a little more advance earning the high scorestreaks from the orbital VSAT to everyone rage quit scorestreak the Swarm. Let’s have distinguishable Kill/Scorestreaks again!

These are the elements in my opinion will create a great Call of Duty game. It was never just about having your boots to the ground, but having great maps, guns that offer variety, and an Kill/Scorestreaks that can suffice to all different types of players. If Sledgehammer Games can truly conquer those three elements, I personally think they will have a great Call of Duty in there hands, which tons of fans will play for years.

Killing Floor 2 Open Beta Begins November 4 & PS4 Pro Details

Are you into cooperative shooters with terrifying enemies and the options of unique weaponry and perk classes? There’s good news for you! Killing Floor 2 will be releasing very soon and there will be an open beta beginning November 4th. As reported via the PlayStation Blog:

We’re excited to announce that a PS4 multiplayer open beta will be starting tomorrow on November 4 at 10:00 AM Pacific and will be running through Sunday November 6!

The Killing Floor 2 open beta on PS4 will feature the following:

  • 2 Multiplayer Modes — Survival and Versus Survival
  • 3 Maps — Burning Paris, Biotics Lab, Evac Point
  • 1 Offline Training Mission
  • 9 Perk Classes
  • 14 Characters

The full version of Killing Floor 2 launches on November 18!

PS4 Pro has allowed us to take Killing Floor 2’s visuals to the next level of fidelity. Resolution, memory, and performance are the three key ways the PS4 Pro enhances Killing Floor 2.

First on the point of resolution for players that have a 4K TV and a PS4 Pro. Killing Floor 2 runs at a higher 1800p resolution that is then up-scaled to 4K 2160p resolution, unlocking the gaming potential of your 4K screen. The extra resolution increases overall environment, weapon, and character detail beyond what is perceivable on a 1080p display.

Environment details such as foliage and distant level meshes have a new level of definition. Enemies (Zeds) in the world seen at medium to long distances have many more pixels defining them, making it just a bit easier to get that head shot. Killing Floor 2’s over-the-top gore system has never looked better with persistent blood reflecting the world and characters in high resolution.

The extra memory on PS4 Pro allows us to activate our ultra textures that have higher resolution over the standard PS4. The ultra textures add extra surface detail to everything in the game including first-person weapons, arms, zeds, and the levels themselves.

These high-res textures will be used whether the player is playing on a 4K TV or a standard 1080p display. In addition to the ultra textures, the extra memory allowed us to increase our dynamic shadow resolution. Killing Floor 2’s custom deferred renderer uses a number of shadowing techniques including dynamic shadows. When these dynamic shadows are used they will be crisper and higher resolution on PS4 Pro then the standard PS4. When playing on a 1080p TV, Killing Floor 2 is effectively super sampled, resulting in much higher quality and smoother anti-aliasing.

All of this is achieved without compromising on performance. Killing Floor 2 runs at an increased frame rate when using a PS4 Pro on a 1080p display. Whether you have a 4K or 1080p TV, Killing Floor 2 is going to look amazing on a PS4 Pro.

Tripwire Interactive and Gio Corsi once debuted this game during 2013’s PSX press event and since we’ve heard only a little about around it’s release over the years. Over the years there were only small tidbits of info of PlayStation related news for this game. Since the recently revealed PS4 Pro event this sentiment has changed. A brand spanking new trailer has been released alongside this information today which you can see below:
