More news will be released in the near future (PSX/Capcom Cup Finals, or PGW) here’s what capcom had to say in closing per the PS Blog.

As we promised in the past, the initial purchase of Street Fighter V is still the only one that you’ll need as the new gameplay-related content in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be part of a free in-game update for current players once it releases! That means if you currently play Street Fighter V, you won’t need to purchase anything else to get Arcade Mode, Extra Battle Mode, etc. – you’ll just need to download the update! For those who don’t currently have Street Fighter V, you’ll be able to purchase Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition for $39.99, which will include everything we’ve mentioned above. We wanted to make sure there’s something to celebrate for both current and new players alike.

Editors Opinion: As a fan and lover of the Street Fighter Series this is good news and I hope that it can refresh and ignite a general interest in fans of the series and the FGC community. As many competitive Fighters are on the Rise (Dragon Ball Fighterz, Blazeblue Tag Battle etc.) Capcom has to remind the world the reason why street fighter has lasted for so many years (30 to be exact) and rekindle that competitive edge. Let’s see if this gives them that edge they so desperately need.

But enough of my thoughts what do you think of this news. Does this interest you to make time and the effort of purchasing the long respected fighter again or for the first time this gen? As you know with this news you can expect “The Online Arcade to have many more Tournament with this great news. With that being said comment below and let us know your thoughts. Dragon Ball FighterZ Closed Beta Delayed Until September

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Bandai Namco announced that the closed beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ has been delayed officially beginning September 16th-18th. The closed beta sign-up date has also been moved, with the new date to August 22nd, instead of the original July 26th date. Dragon Ball FighterZ is expected to released on the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One in early 2018.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. would like to thank all its fans for their tremendous support for DRAGON BALL FighterZ. We recently announced at EVO 2017 that the closed beta sign-ups for DRAGON BALL FighterZ would begin on July 26, 2017; due to the volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement, we have decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta in an effort to enable more players to participate in the program.

We are also working to bolster our background systems to ensure that the closed beta registration and selection process can accept the volume of anticipated sign-ups.

However, these efforts will necessitate a slight delay for the closed beta sign-up date, which will move to August 22, 2017 with the official start of the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta officially commencing from September 16 -18. We would like to thank all of our fans for their patience and understanding; we look forward to sharing more news about the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta program soon. Thank you.

The close beta will have nine playable characters, with newly introduced Piccolo, and Krillin joining Goku, Vegeta, Teen Gohan, Majin Buu, Freeza, Cell, and Trunks.

Piccolo’s character explanation: Piccolo is considered to be one of the most technical characters with his expandable arm to grab his opponents. He has various ways to break the opponent’s guard and he can also fire fast and powerful beams. Players can charge up for a stronger attack by long-pressing the button. To create a huge blow, Piccolo can use his ability to release Ki blast from afar or for an effective strike, players can even connect it with a combo move!

Krillin character explanation: Krillin doesn’t have that much reach and power but easily compensates with several different techniques such as the Kamehameha to fight a long-range game. He can also skillfully confuse his opponents by leaving an image of himself before turning into an attack. Furthermore, players have the choice to use the famous Senzu Bean. Fans will also be delighted to know that his signature and blockable attack is also included in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
