More news will be released in the near future (PSX/Capcom Cup Finals, or PGW) here’s what capcom had to say in closing per the PS Blog.

As we promised in the past, the initial purchase of Street Fighter V is still the only one that you’ll need as the new gameplay-related content in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be part of a free in-game update for current players once it releases! That means if you currently play Street Fighter V, you won’t need to purchase anything else to get Arcade Mode, Extra Battle Mode, etc. – you’ll just need to download the update! For those who don’t currently have Street Fighter V, you’ll be able to purchase Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition for $39.99, which will include everything we’ve mentioned above. We wanted to make sure there’s something to celebrate for both current and new players alike.

Editors Opinion: As a fan and lover of the Street Fighter Series this is good news and I hope that it can refresh and ignite a general interest in fans of the series and the FGC community. As many competitive Fighters are on the Rise (Dragon Ball Fighterz, Blazeblue Tag Battle etc.) Capcom has to remind the world the reason why street fighter has lasted for so many years (30 to be exact) and rekindle that competitive edge. Let’s see if this gives them that edge they so desperately need.

But enough of my thoughts what do you think of this news. Does this interest you to make time and the effort of purchasing the long respected fighter again or for the first time this gen? As you know with this news you can expect “The Online Arcade to have many more Tournament with this great news. With that being said comment below and let us know your thoughts. Street Fighter V: Abigail Reveal Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

During EVO 2017 at Street Fighter V top 8, Capcom finally revealed their next SFV season 2 DLC character. Abigail is the biggest man in Metro City will be available on July 25th and has bulked up since his Final Fight days. Abigail is eight feet tall, making him the largest character in SFV.  He isn’t just a command grab character as most would probably assume. He brings with him plenty of tools and a special called Nitro Charge run. Which is cancel-able and can lead into multiple follow-ups like his stiff punch, cumbersome overhead, command grabs or V-Skill. abigail sfv

What does Abigail have to offer in Street Fighter V?

V-Skill: HungabeeV-SkillAbigail thrusts his size-able belly forwards (either high or low) countering the opponent’s attack and setting himself up for a combo opportunity.

V-Trigger: Max PowerV-TriggerAfter popping his two-bar V-Trigger, Abigail can charge up his four different heavy punches for one hit of armor and extended juggles. A full charge will break the opponent’s guard.

Critical Art: Abigail SpecialCAAbigail slams his opponent with a downward open-palm strike that puts them into a daze. He then hoists them into the air, pummels them like a makeshift speed bag before launching a savage hook that shatters the screen.

Abigail’s Movelist:Abigail MovelistAbigail Movelist 2abigail Movelist 3

costume2costume1On July 25th alongside Abigail are his Story and Premium Battle costumes. He will come with his own personal stage, the Metro City Bay Area. If you take your fight to the distance on his stage, fans will get to witness the iconic sunrise from back in Abigail’s Final Fight days.metrocity

Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will currently give you access to Akuma, Kolin, Ed and Abigail with two more brand new characters later within the year. The season pass also comes with Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 and the default costume colors 3-10 for each character in SFV.Season passIn my Opinion: Abigail is definitely looking a like force not to be messed with. Though his size could be a gift and curse, making him susceptible to a lot attacks from all angles due to his large hit box. Or creating fear against the opposition with his large body and length for his normal’s and specials. I’m personally interested on getting my hands on Abigail. He’s not the type of character I would typically use in a Street Fighter game, but I just so see what type of mix-ups I can create after his Nitro Charge Run special.

Capcom has really done a great job with these costumes. It would be nice to see something similar being implented to the rest of the roster as well. Personally it is hard to pick a favorite costume out of the three, but Juri’s costumes definitely stands out the most, Juri mains should be proud.

V-Skill: Inside Slash

Kolin’s unique counter allows her to deflect and automatically punish incoming moves with ease.
V-Trigger: Diamond Dust
kolin_vtrigger
With a full V-meter, Kolin can slam the ground twice with her foot, each time shooting out a path of sharp icicles across the floor. In addition to damage and stun, this move freezes the opponent’s stun gauge. While in this special state, the stun gauge will not deplete and if Kolin is successful in stunning the opponent, they will be frozen in place.
Critical Art: Frost Tower

Kolin dashes forward with a slice of her hand. If the attack connects, she’ll continue summoning large icicles from the ground, throwing the opponent into the air and shattering the ice to drop them to the ground.
Here is Kolin’s move list:
screen-shot-2017-02-11-at-5-07-33-pmscreen-shot-2017-02-11-at-5-08-03-pm
In my opinion: From the looks of things I personally think I will love this character. She has an very impressive V-Skill and her V-Trigger has me very curious to see how it will pan out. Also I tend to love Rekka and command dash base characters. But what are your thoughts on Kolin? Will you pick up Kolin on the 28th? Will she replace your main character? Let us know in the comments below.
