Dragon Ball FighterZ Closed Beta Delayed Until September

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Bandai Namco announced that the closed beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ has been delayed officially beginning September 16th-18th. The closed beta sign-up date has also been moved, with the new date to August 22nd, instead of the original July 26th date. Dragon Ball FighterZ is expected to released on the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One in early 2018.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. would like to thank all its fans for their tremendous support for DRAGON BALL FighterZ. We recently announced at EVO 2017 that the closed beta sign-ups for DRAGON BALL FighterZ would begin on July 26, 2017; due to the volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement, we have decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta in an effort to enable more players to participate in the program.

We are also working to bolster our background systems to ensure that the closed beta registration and selection process can accept the volume of anticipated sign-ups.

However, these efforts will necessitate a slight delay for the closed beta sign-up date, which will move to August 22, 2017 with the official start of the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta officially commencing from September 16 -18. We would like to thank all of our fans for their patience and understanding; we look forward to sharing more news about the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta program soon. Thank you.

The close beta will have nine playable characters, with newly introduced Piccolo, and Krillin joining Goku, Vegeta, Teen Gohan, Majin Buu, Freeza, Cell, and Trunks.

Piccolo’s character explanation: Piccolo is considered to be one of the most technical characters with his expandable arm to grab his opponents. He has various ways to break the opponent’s guard and he can also fire fast and powerful beams. Players can charge up for a stronger attack by long-pressing the button. To create a huge blow, Piccolo can use his ability to release Ki blast from afar or for an effective strike, players can even connect it with a combo move!

Krillin character explanation: Krillin doesn’t have that much reach and power but easily compensates with several different techniques such as the Kamehameha to fight a long-range game. He can also skillfully confuse his opponents by leaving an image of himself before turning into an attack. Furthermore, players have the choice to use the famous Senzu Bean. Fans will also be delighted to know that his signature and blockable attack is also included in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Tekken 7- Geese Howard Reveal Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

It is really fascinating to see Geese Howard making his way into the Tekken 7 ring later on this year. Geese is a notable legendary character from the Fatal Fury/The King of Fighters series and will have the chance to face off against the Tekken legends like Heihachi or Kazuya, making the statementI’ll destroy you all!Geese Howard T7In my Opinion: Players that use Geese Howard will have their opponents in fear with Atemi Nage counter as you send foes to the ground that gets in contact with you or if they approach send Geese’s famous wind slash Reppu Ken with both single and double versions present. I’m definitely loving how Bandai Namco kept a lot of the traditional Geese Howard specials and incorporated them into the 3D space of Tekken 7. It’s very similar to what they did with Akuma, great job!Geese Howard Winter 2017

Tekken Director Katsuhiro Harada explains the games delay, missing it’s initial early 2017 launch window:

We were trying to do everything we could to make that [early 2017] date happen… maybe to scale down on the content in order to make the master release, but in the end we came to the decision that [after] seeing releases from other companies, as well as some of the past of our own, where maybe things weren’t working 100% at launch, or maybe it was missing some content, that’s the kind of thing we wanted to avoid with Tekken 7, so we made a very difficult decision of moving it to June to include all of the original content that we’d originally planned.

Tekken 7 brings some new things to the highly decorated fighting franchise. Like a dedicated story mode and extending the roster with some brand new characters. Social Media & Community Manager Dalton Link of Bandai Namco Entertainment America, took to the PlayStation Blog to explain the new game mechanics Tekken 7 has to offer:

Rage System
As your life bar depletes it will eventually start flashing red, indicating you’ve entered “Rage” mode. Once in “Rage” your character will deal more damage as well as gain access to two all-new devastating moves: the Rage Art and Rage Drive!

Rage Art
A super powerful armored attack that allows you to absorb hits and power through an enemy assault that can turn the tide of the match in the blink of an eye. The Rage Art provides players an easy comeback mechanic when they are far behind in any given match.

Rage Drive
While not as destructive as the Rage Art, the Rage Drive is a strategic alternative that unleashes a devastating combo that will punish any opponent.

Power Crush
Also an armored attack, this move will power through most attacks and shift momentum in your favor. The Power Crush can be risky if thrown out carelessly, but if timed properly, it will give you a physical and mental advantage.

Oh yeah! Akuma will be making his presence be felt in Tekken 7.
