Today DICE and EA games have released a new single player trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II alongside some more details in regard to the upcoming release. As posted via the PS Blog here’s a bit of an introduction into the Star Wars Battlefront Story we will be experiencing:
Star Wars Battlefront II opens with an interrogation. Commander Iden Versio, disarmed and bound, glares at the Rebel soldier holding her captive. The slow, steady tension of the scene runs contrary to the often bombastic, spectacular battles that Star Wars is known for. But Iden’s story is one of military dedication, political motivation, loyalty, and betrayal. And bombastic, spectacular battles.
Iden serves as a humanizing element to the Empire — a force we have spent decades fighting in the Star Wars universe. She and the other agents of Inferno Squad represent the discipline and devotion that the Imperials glorify. But the most striking quality of her character impacts the entire narrative: her courtesy.
The single-player campaign of Star Wars Battlefront II takes place in the moments before and immediately after the conclusion of Return of the Jedi. The prologue mission follows Iden as she deftly escapes Rebel capture, then assists Imperial forces on Endor following the destruction of the second Death Star. But as she creeps behind enemy lines and uses her tactical droid to survey soldier positions, her whispered commands speak volumes. “Scan, please.”
Iden address both her fellow agents and her droid with notable politeness. It is immediately endearing, and a small detail among many that make the beginning moments of the campaign so enjoyable. It showcases that Iden and her team are not supervillains. They are soldiers. Even Iden has misgivings about the Empire’s plans, and those boil over in due time…

If you haven’t seen this weekend was quite the reveal and we’re not talking about football. We’re talking BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. As we draw near the official release in 2018 Arc System Works has been privy with releasing details for this up and coming fighter. Well we’ve luckily been given the opportunity of another character reveal. And this time was it wasn’t just one character or game play. This go round it has revealed that Weiss Schnee is on the way to the BBCTB scene. As you can see below via the trailer that she’s not the only one that’s on the way. Check out the trailer below to see what we mean.
If you’re a fan in particular of the RWBY series you can see that Weiss is one of the fan favorites alongside others from the late great Monty Oum (Creator of the RWBY series). Moving forward, The trailer reveals not only Weiss but others such as Hazama from the blazblue series.
As well as Rachel Alucard from the series.
As of now there is no set release date for the up and coming fighter only a release window of 2018. Although one would suspect that it will possibly release shortly after Dragon Ball FighterZ to avoid a conflict of interest and as well to let the Fighter game community (FGC) adjust and embrace the Dragon Ball FighterZ title first.
Editors Opinion: I am looking forward to this title as it has a great mixture of music from the Blazblue, UNIEL, RWBY and Persona 4Arena Series. Although I particularly hope that they also include some characters from Persona 5. I am very much looking forward to playing this title. 3 Particular characters I am looking forward to and hoping to see on the roster are “Tager, V-13 (BlazBlue Series) and Yang (RWBY Series). One can only hope, but overall this title is looking fantastic. I’m not too familiarized with the UNIEL characters outside of Mika, However I am looking forward to see what the lesser known titles are offering as well.
But what do you think? What characters would you like to see. How do you think the game play looks. Are you interested in this fighter at all? Comment below and let us know. For news like this and more make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

Included with this news is that all characters will be available for free once Street Fighter: AE is released. Capcom has stated “Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will come with all 28 characters, which includes those from Season 1 and Season 2” and they still have one more character that they will be announcing very soon.

More news will be released in the near future (PSX/Capcom Cup Finals, or PGW) here’s what capcom had to say in closing per the PS Blog.
As we promised in the past, the initial purchase of Street Fighter V is still the only one that you’ll need as the new gameplay-related content in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition will be part of a free in-game update for current players once it releases! That means if you currently play Street Fighter V, you won’t need to purchase anything else to get Arcade Mode, Extra Battle Mode, etc. – you’ll just need to download the update! For those who don’t currently have Street Fighter V, you’ll be able to purchase Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition for $39.99, which will include everything we’ve mentioned above. We wanted to make sure there’s something to celebrate for both current and new players alike.
Editors Opinion: As a fan and lover of the Street Fighter Series this is good news and I hope that it can refresh and ignite a general interest in fans of the series and the FGC community. As many competitive Fighters are on the Rise (Dragon Ball Fighterz, Blazeblue Tag Battle etc.) Capcom has to remind the world the reason why street fighter has lasted for so many years (30 to be exact) and rekindle that competitive edge. Let’s see if this gives them that edge they so desperately need.
But enough of my thoughts what do you think of this news. Does this interest you to make time and the effort of purchasing the long respected fighter again or for the first time this gen? As you know with this news you can expect “The Online Arcade to have many more Tournament with this great news. With that being said comment below and let us know your thoughts. If you’re big on the trophy hunting scene this title known as _ICEY_ may more than likely be a familiar name you’ve heard in regards to being a quick and easy platinum trophy run. But to those who may not be as involved in such matters may not have ever heard of this game before at all. However that will hopefully change as of tomorrow. Chinese developer Mark Xiao took to the PS Blog, to reveal that his long awaited title _ICEY_ would be coming state side to North America and to the EU via the respective regions PS Stores. Here’s what he had to say below:
It’s up to you, really. Do you prefer to see through Icey’s eyes and act as she would? Or do you prefer to remain “yourself” and see the world through your own eyes? Only you can decide what the real story is.
Hack and Slash
There are plenty of combo attacks to tie together during battle in Icey.
Once enemies are sufficiently weakened, you’ll be able to dispatch them quickly in a flurry of slashes.
Absorb energy released from kill shots to then release a massive attack which damages all enemies within view.
Combine all of these together to build up devastating combos.
Resist the Narrator and Find Your Own Path
It’s possible to play Icey as a simple action game, but if you want to discover the real story behind Icey you need to realize that the narrator can be directly disobeyed.
For example, the narrator will tell you to activate a bridge.
Of course, you don’t have to listen.
Resist these instructions enough times, and the narrator will prevent your progress and even teach you how to play the game.
Resist further, and the narrator will create a “temporary” zone for you.
And, of course, try to force you to finally follow the arrow.
Feel free to once again disobey these commands.
Only by annoying the narrator throughout Icey will players be able to uncover some semblance of the truth about the game world.
Also make sure to check out the trailer below:
