God Of War Releases to PS4 Consoles April 20th

What’s up PlayStation Nation,

2018 is set to kick off right as it’s confirmed that God Of War is set to release on consoles this spring as it has been officially announced via the PS Blog where Sony Santa Monica Alum Cory Barlog States:

I would love to write a long blog post here but, apparently, I have a game to get done by 4/20 so I gotta get back to work as soon as possible.

God of War (PS4)

God of War (PS4)God of War (PS4)

First, let me say that this is my favorite release day of my entire career. If I live to be 100, I do not think I will be able to top this release day.

There has been a long journey just to reach this point, so it’s a little bittersweet to think that we are only a few months away from that journey finally coming to an end. While I am sad, I am also excited because it means everyone will get their hands on this crazy adventure we have been crafting for nearly five years!

You can check out the trailer below!

So, April 20, 2018…mark the date on your calendar, people. Clear that schedule, tell your significant other they are wonderful, because that is always a nice thing to do, and then wonder what you will do with all that free time you have now that you don’t need to keep asking me when the release date is.

Thank you everyone for your continued support of our game-making addiction. I will do my best to keep sharing information as we head towards launch.

…But wait, there’s more! I’m proud to share our limited Collector’s Editions and Digital Deluxe Edition, whose every component is connected back to the Norse universe and story of our game.

The Stone Mason Ring is a finely crafted piece of jewelry, whose story we won’t spoil. The talking Mimir Head keychain may be your personal favorite after you interact with him in game. Massive credit to Gentle Giant capturing the exquisite detail of these!

New Dragon Ball FighterZ mechanic revealed

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

As you know we are following every move and note of  the upcoming fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ. Well today via Twitter Bandai Namco has revealed more details in regard to the anticipated fighter. A new fighting system introduced as the “Shenron system”

This feature will allow players who string a specific number of combos during battle to collect Dragon Balls on-screen. Once all the Dragon Balls have been collected, Shenron will appear and grant the player one of four wishes:

  1. Restore my health: Restore your current character’s to its full health
  2. Bring back my ally: Revive your lost ally to 50% health
  3. Give me the ultimate power: Boost your Ki gauge to MAX
  4. Make me immortal: Health will be 50% restored, and auto-restoration for energy gauge.

As of now there is no word on if this will be vary in options and we don’t have any confirmation on if this feature is able to be turned on and off. However many fans assume that it will be an option as Bandai Namco has stated that they want this fighter to be a contender for event’s like Evo and CEO etc. But as it currently stands there is no definite confirmation.

Also in conjunction with this news there was a special live stream of the upcoming fighter with the likes of Maximillian, Perfect Legend and Rhymestyle as they revealed a lumpsome of information in regard to Dragon Ball FighterZ it’s worth a look as the roster of fighters has bulked up a great deal. You can view that below as well.

Iron Tager,V-13 and More Join the Fight in BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

Whats Up PlayStation Nation,

If you’ve been following our Online Arcade articles here at What’s Up PlayStation. It should be no secret we’re looking forward to this Blazblue Cross Tag Battle. In our previous trailer reveal it was announced that no further reveals would take place until December, and well fellow gamers December is here and we’ve got the scoop on this months reveal! As you can see via the image Tager is finally set to be revealed for this months announcements. I’m sure Arc System Works will reveal more info as the month closes. But for now you can see the trailer below and let us know what you think.

So as you can see via the above trailer. Iron Tager, V-13, and Makoto from BlazBlue and Es from Xblaze/Blazeblue will be playable in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. So with these 4 behemoths being announced that leaves us with a pretty meaty roster so far. AzraelRagna the Bloodedge, Jin Kisaragi, Rachel Alucard, Hazama, and Noel Vermillion from BlazBlue; Yukiko Amagi, Yu Narukami, Yosuke Hanamura, and Chie Satonaka from Persona 4 Arena; Gordeau, Hyde, Linne, and Waldstein from Under Night In-Birth; and Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee from RWBY. That’s about 20 characters so far with the inclusion of those mentioned from the above trailer.

1513375158521362347343.jpg

Once again however, this month’s reveal so far haven’t announced any particular characters from RWBY so with January and a possible release fast approaching here’s hoping that we can hear more about some pivotal RWBY characters as well more from Under Night In Birth. But for now we can assume a pretty robust roster as this weeks reveals brings us up to 20 Playable Characters for the up coming fighter! So far it seems there’s someone for everyone. Arc System Works however has yet to give us a release window however we here at WUPS still believe and assume so far that we can expect this to release after Dragon Ball FighterZ as it would give both titles a bit of time to flourish and breath I assume.

(Editors Opinion: I can now breath a sigh of relief as now it stands that 3 of my favorite Blazblue characters have entered the fold as it stands I know have Iron Tager, Noel Vermillion and V-13 all that would make this circle complete honestly at this point would be the inclusion of Hakumen, Arakune From Blazblue, Yang from RWBY and Akatsuki from UNIEL [Under Night In Birth for those who don’t recognized the acronym.] And although I love many of Arc System Work’s Fighters I’ve yet to play Persona 4: Arena so that complete roster is foreign to me. But I look forward to playing this final product when it releases!)

But what do you think of this months trailer? Are you excited for these characters? Who would you like to see, How many characters do you hope to see on the final Roster? Comment below let us know. Make to sure to keep us bookmarked and check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.
