What do you think of this list of game deals? Are you looking for more do you feel that the brick and mortar stores like Target, Best Buy etc. have a better selection of deals? This weeks promotion won’t require any special codes or offers you’ll need to enter. All that’s needed is your PS4 to be powered on and head to your Multiplayer game of choice. This promotional event will last until November 20. Of course there is a catch at the end of this free multiplayer access trial you will be more than likely asked to purchase a PS Plus Subscription of some sorts. However it always your choice of, whether or not you want to purchase a subscription or not. But if that doesn’t help make up your mind we’ve previously reported the games of the month available for PS Plus users. Which you can view via the trailer below.

Novembers Plus Free Games Lineup.

Will you be participating in this week’s free PS Plus offering? What games are you going to play? Comment below let us know. For news like this and more make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

For PlayStation 4, the standard slim 1TB system in Jet Black will be available at $199.99 USD. This is the perfect time to pick up a PS4 as a gift for the special gamer in your life, or as a treat for yourself. (Editors Note: I will be looking forward to black Friday deals via PSN, However participating retailers like Best Buy always tend to have pretty good deals so I would most definitely refer Best Buy as the “Go To” Store for more of the electronics side of your best buy needs. However these deals are always great and I expect to be able to do a nice trophy clean up for Black Friday via the PSN Store.)

Sony Introduces Monetary Rewards for Trophies Earned via PSN

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Bright days are now ahead for the avid PlayStation gamer. If you’ve ever heard the statements of: You play too many video games, you play video games all day. Well this weekend’s past news may be a new tool of motivation to play more video games. Cause we all love playing games don’t we? Sony has now introduced via it’s Sony Rewards Program a new implementation to provide gamers with a reason to become fully immersed withing the PlayStation Ecosystem. Sony has introduced a Trophy Rewards System via it’s Sony Rewards Program. Which has been introduced into 3 tiers of rewards. Earning 100 Silver Trophies can earn you about 100 points, 25 Gold Trophies earns about you 250 points, and 10 Platinums equals to 1000 points. No word on if this is a one time time ordeal or if this is promotions applies to Every 10 platinum trophies earned equals to 1,000 points. However as a small summer 1,0000 points equals to about about $10.00. So to summarize each tier equals about $1, $2.50, and $10.  However this is also combined with PSN activity from movies purchased. To Service subscribed to ETC. These points not are easily attainable as it is recommended to link your PSN Account to the Sony Rewards Program.

However it should be noted that since this news, the site has had an abundance of activity and traffic and you may encounter a Internal server error while accessing the site. However if you are able to reach and access the website make sure to link and your PSN account to begin racking up points. You should be able to rack up points pretty easily and apply these points for whatever you like for rewards in the program.

SREwards

(Editors Opinion: As a self proclaimed trophy whore I think this is a great start for more player activity via the Sony rewards program. This promotes not only more activity with Sony rewards but it promotes more player activity for enjoying and completing the games many of us love to play. Also from a trophy hunter perspective, I feel like this provides more of an understanding for those who say things like trophies do not have purpose outside of bragging rhetoric and so forth so this validates the desire to achieve more trophies.[Which I am currently at 65 platinums.] So this provides a much praised effort in gaming for the Trophy hunter enthusiast)

Last but not least these rewards are not retroactive however for those users who may have signed up and linked their associated accounts via PSN and Sony Rewards. It should be noted that once you’re at the Sony Rewards earn category for PSN Activity you will need to click on the unlock option to active the reward for things such as trophies earned and PSN Activity.  So be sure to have all the aforementioned trophy tier categories unlocked. But what do you think? Are you interested in this rewards system. What would you like to see implemented in the future? Do you feel this is worth the rewards offered? Comment below let us know. For news like this and more make sure to check back with us here at What’s Up PlayStation.

PlayStation Introduces new GT Sport PSVR Bundle

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

PlayStation is gearing you up for the holidays on the VR front that is. It has been revealed today that the console manufacturer is releasing a PlayStation VR GT Sport bundle. Recently stated via the PS Blog:

The PlayStation VR Gran Turismo Sport bundle, which starts to hit shelves in the next few days. The bundle will include the PS VR system, PlayStation Camera, a physical copy of GT Sport, and an updated version of the PS VR Demo Disc, featuring 13 PS VR demo experiences. The PS VR GT Sport bundle will be available in retailers across the U.S. for $399.99 USD (MSRP) and in Canada for $499.99 CAD (MSRP) – so you’re getting GT Sport at no extra charge with the core PS VR bundle, which is already available at a great value.

Obviously the bundle doesn’t include the PS4/ PS4 Pro console. However for $399 USD that isn’t too bad of a deal. It also shows that PlayStation thus far is committed to providing an avenue for PlayStation VR support and games. But let us know your thoughts? What do you think of the bundle. Are you interested in GT Sport or PlayStation VR? Do you think this bundle provides a good value? Comment below let us know. PlayStation introduces the Mini Wired Pad for PS4

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Hori has announced the officially licensed Mini Wired Gamepad for PlayStation 4, designed with younger gamers in mind. The controller is 40% smaller than the DualShock 4 and is said to have a simple form factor with a flat design to make it easy to fit into smaller hands. Most importantly, the controller has a low price of $29.99 USD (MSRP) / $39.99 CAD (MSRP), making it a great purchase for companion play on games like Knack 2, Sonic Mania and more.

The Mini Wired Gamepad includes the expected functions to play most PS4 games while still providing a great gaming experience – that includes the right and left sticks, R1/L1/R2/L2 buttons, directional buttons, and action buttons. Certain touch pad inputs can be simulated via the left or right sticks.

The wired controller includes a 10ft cable, making for an easy plug-and-play experience. However the controller does not include some features of DualShock 4, including a touch pad, light bar, stereo headset jack, speaker, vibration, or motion sensing, it comes at a great value and helps open gaming to the whole family. You can check out more detailed information for the gamepad here.

The blue Mini Wired Gamepad launches across U.S. and Canada this holiday.

Editors Opinion: As a father I’m definitely considering purchasing this for my daughters as they are a bit harder on controllers, more so than I would like to admit. This is a great value for me personally and though it lacks a bit of what most PS4 controllers have, it would provide a great introduction for younger kids with it being made for those with smaller hands. A Definite must by for parents.
