What’s Up PlayStation Nation,
During EVO 2017 at Street Fighter V top 8, Capcom finally revealed their next SFV season 2 DLC character. Abigail is the biggest man in Metro City will be available on July 25th and has bulked up since his Final Fight days. Abigail is eight feet tall, making him the largest character in SFV. He isn’t just a command grab character as most would probably assume. He brings with him plenty of tools and a special called Nitro Charge run. Which is cancel-able and can lead into multiple follow-ups like his stiff punch, cumbersome overhead, command grabs or V-Skill.
What does Abigail have to offer in Street Fighter V?
V-Skill: HungabeeAbigail thrusts his size-able belly forwards (either high or low) countering the opponent’s attack and setting himself up for a combo opportunity.
V-Trigger: Max PowerAfter popping his two-bar V-Trigger, Abigail can charge up his four different heavy punches for one hit of armor and extended juggles. A full charge will break the opponent’s guard.
Critical Art: Abigail SpecialAbigail slams his opponent with a downward open-palm strike that puts them into a daze. He then hoists them into the air, pummels them like a makeshift speed bag before launching a savage hook that shatters the screen.
On July 25th alongside Abigail are his Story and Premium Battle costumes. He will come with his own personal stage, the Metro City Bay Area. If you take your fight to the distance on his stage, fans will get to witness the iconic sunrise from back in Abigail’s Final Fight days.
Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will currently give you access to Akuma, Kolin, Ed and Abigail with two more brand new characters later within the year. The season pass also comes with Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 and the default costume colors 3-10 for each character in SFV.In my Opinion: Abigail is definitely looking a like force not to be messed with. Though his size could be a gift and curse, making him susceptible to a lot attacks from all angles due to his large hit box. Or creating fear against the opposition with his large body and length for his normal’s and specials. I’m personally interested on getting my hands on Abigail. He’s not the type of character I would typically use in a Street Fighter game, but I just so see what type of mix-ups I can create after his Nitro Charge Run special.
