Dragon Ball FighterZ Closed Beta Delayed Until September

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Bandai Namco announced that the closed beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ has been delayed officially beginning September 16th-18th. The closed beta sign-up date has also been moved, with the new date to August 22nd, instead of the original July 26th date. Dragon Ball FighterZ is expected to released on the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One in early 2018.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. would like to thank all its fans for their tremendous support for DRAGON BALL FighterZ. We recently announced at EVO 2017 that the closed beta sign-ups for DRAGON BALL FighterZ would begin on July 26, 2017; due to the volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement, we have decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta in an effort to enable more players to participate in the program.

We are also working to bolster our background systems to ensure that the closed beta registration and selection process can accept the volume of anticipated sign-ups.

However, these efforts will necessitate a slight delay for the closed beta sign-up date, which will move to August 22, 2017 with the official start of the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta officially commencing from September 16 -18. We would like to thank all of our fans for their patience and understanding; we look forward to sharing more news about the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Closed Beta program soon. Thank you.

The close beta will have nine playable characters, with newly introduced Piccolo, and Krillin joining Goku, Vegeta, Teen Gohan, Majin Buu, Freeza, Cell, and Trunks.

Piccolo’s character explanation: Piccolo is considered to be one of the most technical characters with his expandable arm to grab his opponents. He has various ways to break the opponent’s guard and he can also fire fast and powerful beams. Players can charge up for a stronger attack by long-pressing the button. To create a huge blow, Piccolo can use his ability to release Ki blast from afar or for an effective strike, players can even connect it with a combo move!

Krillin character explanation: Krillin doesn’t have that much reach and power but easily compensates with several different techniques such as the Kamehameha to fight a long-range game. He can also skillfully confuse his opponents by leaving an image of himself before turning into an attack. Furthermore, players have the choice to use the famous Senzu Bean. Fans will also be delighted to know that his signature and blockable attack is also included in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Trunks Slashes His Way To Dragon Ball FighterZ- Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

Trunks joins the roster for Dragon Ball FighterZ showing some of this flashy moves from the legendary anime. Like the famous Burning Attack and the Shining Sword Attack/Burning Slash (he used to finish off Frieza), and his ultimate attack Heat Dome. There will be a Dragon Ball FighterZ closed beta for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with the sign up will start on July 26th. The beta will include nine characters rather than just the first six we saw at E3. Dragon Ball FighterZ comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC early in 2018.trunks1trunks5In my opinion: Trunks simply looks amazing in Dragon Ball FighterZ, 2018 can’t come soon enough. I’m loving the intricate details Arc System Works are showing between all the fighters shown so far in Dragon Ball FighterZ, in which fans of the Dragon Ball series will easily identify.burning attackFor more PlayStation related gaming news make sure to check back with us here at: “What’s Up PlayStation”

Tekken 7- Geese Howard Reveal Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

It is really fascinating to see Geese Howard making his way into the Tekken 7 ring later on this year. Geese is a notable legendary character from the Fatal Fury/The King of Fighters series and will have the chance to face off against the Tekken legends like Heihachi or Kazuya, making the statementI’ll destroy you all!Geese Howard T7In my Opinion: Players that use Geese Howard will have their opponents in fear with Atemi Nage counter as you send foes to the ground that gets in contact with you or if they approach send Geese’s famous wind slash Reppu Ken with both single and double versions present. I’m definitely loving how Bandai Namco kept a lot of the traditional Geese Howard specials and incorporated them into the 3D space of Tekken 7. It’s very similar to what they did with Akuma, great job!Geese Howard Winter 2017

Street Fighter V: Abigail Reveal Trailer

What’s Up PlayStation Nation,

During EVO 2017 at Street Fighter V top 8, Capcom finally revealed their next SFV season 2 DLC character. Abigail is the biggest man in Metro City will be available on July 25th and has bulked up since his Final Fight days. Abigail is eight feet tall, making him the largest character in SFV.  He isn’t just a command grab character as most would probably assume. He brings with him plenty of tools and a special called Nitro Charge run. Which is cancel-able and can lead into multiple follow-ups like his stiff punch, cumbersome overhead, command grabs or V-Skill. abigail sfv

What does Abigail have to offer in Street Fighter V?

V-Skill: HungabeeV-SkillAbigail thrusts his size-able belly forwards (either high or low) countering the opponent’s attack and setting himself up for a combo opportunity.

V-Trigger: Max PowerV-TriggerAfter popping his two-bar V-Trigger, Abigail can charge up his four different heavy punches for one hit of armor and extended juggles. A full charge will break the opponent’s guard.

Critical Art: Abigail SpecialCAAbigail slams his opponent with a downward open-palm strike that puts them into a daze. He then hoists them into the air, pummels them like a makeshift speed bag before launching a savage hook that shatters the screen.

Abigail’s Movelist:Abigail MovelistAbigail Movelist 2abigail Movelist 3

costume2costume1On July 25th alongside Abigail are his Story and Premium Battle costumes. He will come with his own personal stage, the Metro City Bay Area. If you take your fight to the distance on his stage, fans will get to witness the iconic sunrise from back in Abigail’s Final Fight days.metrocity

Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will currently give you access to Akuma, Kolin, Ed and Abigail with two more brand new characters later within the year. The season pass also comes with Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 and the default costume colors 3-10 for each character in SFV.Season passIn my Opinion: Abigail is definitely looking a like force not to be messed with. Though his size could be a gift and curse, making him susceptible to a lot attacks from all angles due to his large hit box. Or creating fear against the opposition with his large body and length for his normal’s and specials. I’m personally interested on getting my hands on Abigail. He’s not the type of character I would typically use in a Street Fighter game, but I just so see what type of mix-ups I can create after his Nitro Charge Run special.
